Chresanto's mother was told about the auditions for Mindless Behavior by Chresanto's cousin who knew Keisha Gamble and she took Chresanto to the auditions instead of his football tryouts. Chresanto didn't perform well at the audition but was still added as Keisha knew he had potential because of his fearless attitude. He stated that he is African-American, Belizean, French, and Indian descent, with some Spanish roots. Chresanto's father actually knew Ray Ray's father for a long time and they didn't even know it, they even lived in the same neighborhood and didn't know.

August was the main rapper of the group. His vocals were featured heavily on the group's 2011 debut studio album, "#1 Girl" however not as much on their 2013 sophomore album, "All Around The World".

August was a member of the group from the group's formation in 2008 up until his departure in 2014. Chresanto was allegedly fired from the group due to his controversial behavior including him allegedly stealing a producer's BMW, his alleged involvement with the Crips gang, becoming a father at the age of 16 and the notorious video of him beating up a man allegedly over overdue money that was owed to him. August recalls that he was fired over text message by the group's management and wasn't given a chance to explain himself or the situation. Shortly after he left the group, he changed his stage name from "Roc Royal" to "Santo August" and was soon signed to 319 Music Group & Films. He was pursuing a solo music career and was going to release his debut EP. His debut music video for the single "Amazing" currently has over 950,000 views on YouTube. However, his solo career was put on pause after Chresanto was convicted in 2018 supposedly over weapon possession and robbery.
