This was about what I expected. It's got some bad and some good in there.
The fights are the strongest part for me. They're engaging, shot really well, had some nice underscoring and choreographed excellently. Probably some of the best choreographed hand-to-hand combat you'll see this year. The fights looked excellent. Just everything revolved around the fight was excellent. The score was also pretty good.
Jay Reso/Christian (Stephen Blake) playing a MMA podcaster trashing on pro wresting... oof the irony is strong. He was great in his small role and Gina Gershon (Max Black)…
5 stars for jon moxley and jon moxley alone. is there any other part of this movie? who cares, we're here for mox.
I'll beat you at wrestling, I'll beat you at jiu jitsu. I'll beat you at chess, checkers, a fucking spelling bee.
Solid Rocky III remake with a fun role for Gina Gershon.
Habe wenige erwartet.

Video store merchandise that is always routinely and neatly produced and filmed. The cast, including familiar faces like Gina Gershon, also…
Sometimes you look at the premise and cast of a movie and think "now this is a movie that's aimed at me." Then you watch it and realize that, yes, you are truly the target audience for the film. And Cagefighter is aimed squarely at me, the man who has voluntarily watched Never Back Down twice.
All the seams of a low budget movie are visible here, but you can also see that director Jesse Quinones truly cares about and understands both MMA and wrestling. The story is very basic, the acting is mostly basic, but there are hints here and there that hit all the right notes for my interests.
Jonathan "Jon Moxley" Good is off the charts great…
Reiss (Alex Montagnani) is a young world champion MMA fighter who's got an unbeaten streak and is on top of the world. Enter Randy Stone (Jon Moxley), a pro wrestler who thinks he can beat Reiss in a cagefight. Reiss laughs him out of town - who is this guy who wears tights and "fake fights" - but Mox, uh, I mean "Randy Stone" beats the piss out of him and takes the belt. Plunging deep into an existential crisis, Reiss - accustomed to fighting his way through life and winning - must now face the idea of losing. As his world collapses, one blow at a time, he finds himself at a crossroads. Should he give up or keep…
Most uninteresting protagonist EVER. Why should I care about this Reiss guy when Randy Stone is way more fun to watch and follow? His promos and his comebacks are superior in every way possible; he’s also even better looking than the guy. Randy Stone is the whole package. Reiss should’ve stayed buried deep in the mud !1!!1!
wild thing, you make my heart sing, you make everything grooovy
moxley shows up, cuts some mox promos, everything else exists as a vehicle to get to jon mox content
They finally made a movie about how much tougher and cooler Mox is than CM Punk.
Moxley is genuinely awesome in this, doing everything in his power to inject the movie with a magnetic energy every time he’s onscreen. Sadly the rest of the film is not firing on the same cylinders, spending way too much time on an underdeveloped and uncharismatic protagonist. Feels a bit like What If… Creed Sucked?
Cagefighter borrows heavily from lots and lots of other movies. Not much seemed different in this one. The fight scenes were ok, but not suspenseful at all. The acting, might be ok. Final thought: A very forgettable movie.
Cagefighter: Worlds Collide is an entertaining film about an MMA fighter who goes from champion to loser after being defeated by a wrestler.
Reiss Gibbons (Alex Montagnani) is talked into a fight with notorious pro wrestler Randy Stone (AEW’s Jon Moxley). Stone defeats Gibbons, which results in the loss of a film role for Gibbons. He then trains to fight someone else and also loses that match. Reiss loses his confidence for a bit. Eventually, Reiss gets a rematch with Stone. Will Reiss redeem himself or will he lose once again?
This film is actually decent and I probably enjoyed it more than I should have. It’s slightly cheesy, but that hasn’t kept me from liking a film. The cast includes Gina Gershon and several MMA fighters and wrestlers.
