- I understand that Culture Factory wanted to sell 2000 copies of this album in yellow vinyl, but such an amount is in fact not a real limit. A Ringo re-release will sell less than 1000 copies worldwide. Culture Factory simply pressed to many copies of this album. As a result, the price continues to fall until this Ringo Starr record is finally sold off. Many record collectors feel ripped off by this.
- It's worth noting that on this release, there's a misprint. On the OBI replica strip, it mentions that this was, "Originally released in 1971." This album was "originally" released in 1983.

One of my first purchases at a Beatlefest (September, 1983).
A good album!referencing Old Wave (LP, Album) DXL1-3233
Not as bad as one might expect. Not a cheap purchase on CD, so you have to be a Ringo completist to bother. Unlike his other albums, which are essentially superstar extravaganzas that swing from genre to genre pretty wildly, this one was mostly a Joe Walsh organized affair, with his guitar providing some consistent color. There are guest stars too, but not as many and their appearances are low key. Like most Ringo albums, there are some tracks to make you cringe, some that are simply dull, and some good ones you can rally behind. If one needs a souvenir of Ringo at his most besotted in the middle of his "lost decade", you'll tell yourself it's "okay" as a Ringo album. Non-Ringoheads need not apply; nothing new here.referencing Old Wave (Cassette, Album) DXK1-3233
One of Ringo's most overlooked albums. A jubilant return to form, and full of excellent performances and a totally rocking band. Old Wave may even be Ringo’s best solo album. This cassette edition sounds superb. A quality release.
