Sarah Huckabee Sanders campaigned in Siloam Springs Friday, with only a few days left before Election Day.Sanders, a Republican, is one of three candidates for governor in Arkansas. People gathered in the street to hear and meet with Sanders."I think people are just hungry for a new generation of leadership, someone who's going to push back against the crazy, out-of-control federal government, but also someone who will empower Arkansans and help us to make Arkansas the best place to live, work and raise a family," Sanders said. "One of the most important things we're going to focus on is education and you'll see a lot of activity around that on the very first day."Sanders said the issues that affect Arkansans are the same issues that affect everyone across the country, like inflation."One of the biggest areas and platforms we've talked about is phasing out the state income tax because that helps out every Arkansan, puts money back in their pockets, particularly at a time when the federal government is creating record inflation," Sanders said.Sanders plans to campaign in Fort Smith on Monday.Chris Jones is scheduled to be in Fayetteville on Saturday with other members of the Democratic Party at a tailgate event for the Razorback game. He was in Fayetteville last week and was in Fort Smith on Nov. 1.Libertarian candidate Ricky Dale Harrington Jr. told 40/29 he has no events scheduled between Friday and Election Day.
