Obituary
Mr. Richard Lamar Holmes, age 66, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born September 30, 1957 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Rembert and Myrtle Weaver Holmes. He was also preceded in death by his by his sister-in-law, Kimi Holmes.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Kristy Holmes of Lafayette, GA, David Holmes of Tunnel Hill, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Sue Holmes of Anderson, SC, Rick Holmes of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Carole Sheram and Tom Malone of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Hannah Holmes, Zane Holmes, Savannah Holmes, Dawson Holmes; great grandchildren, Bryson Holmes, Rylan Johnson, Easton Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
At his request he no services will be held at this time. He will be laid to rest beside his parents in the West Hill Cemetery.
