This book does have a good.storyline. Avery went from abusive parents to an abusive husband. Now she doesn't know what a loving relationship can be like, and not only that she has her two little girls to think of. Avery is running from her ex husband when she gets stranded on a cold snowy night, she's frozen and her girls are freezing as well. Then comes Kallon, whom does more than just rescues her and her girls. Kallon, Fallon, and Luke all fall in love with all three of them. This book gets.really sexy, and suspenseful. You will go through all the feelings, and be extremely happy with the ending. Especially the special epilogue you can get sent to your email.

The fact that it brought to the forefront an unpopular subject of spousal/family abuse just made this story more compelling on how it was written. Tasteful and well thought out. You don’t see 3 men and a lady but a growing relationship with love for two small children as well. You’ll be surprised and at the edge of your seat all during this story and wish for more. Enjoy!

I honestly enjoyed this story. I wanted it to be longer in fact. Each character was very likable and well described. I couldn’t wait for the next page. There were some clarity issues for me such as why did the FMC not go back to her home with the police to get her belongings (I didn’t get the sense that it was that far away from where her car broke down) and I also didn’t understand why she got fake identification but still used her same name with jobs and her kids’ school. Also I was expecting acknowledgment by Kellan and/or Fallon of Randy’s identity but that didn’t happen. Still the story was sweet and exciting for this first time reader.

Very similar plot to the book Broke Down by Sharan Daire from 2021. Definitely not done as well and changed just enough to not be complete plagiarism. A kind take would be that Daire‘s book just inspired this one.

I absolutely disliked the FL. After having been assaulted by her ex-husband and him also attacking the oldest daughter, who is 5, she leaves her kids alone in a strange place, gets drunk, makes out with one of the guys and then sleeps in a different room from her girls. Then the next morning it takes quite a while before she checks on her children and that without talking to them or giving physical affection. She’s letting a stranger taking care of them. All of this seems extremely far fetched and kind of neglectful and irresponsible. There’s other things I didn’t like either, but since it started out pretty bad and didn’t really improve, any more details aren’t really necessary here.
