What an amazing breakfast. We were there the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and fortunately we were able to get a seat right away. The entire time we were there, there was a continuous line up of customers. The lineup did move fairly quickly though. They ask...that you do not linger over breakfast and to keep your time to 1 hour. It is a really cute little café and all the staff are very friendly. We felt well attended to during our meal. I had the Portobello benny. OMG. It is probably one of the best bennies that I’ve had. It had the Portobello mushroom, spinach and tomato, and nicely poached eggs on a bagel. It had just the right amount of hollandaise sauce. So many restaurants put too much hollandaise on their bennies and it detracts from the taste of the other ingredients. It came with delicious chunky potatoes. My husband had the flying Spanish omelette. He enjoyed his omelette as well but he said that next time he would order something different. He raved about his caramel macadamia nut latte however and said that he would return just for that. This was one of the best breakfasts that I had during our staycation. We had breakfast here this morning and I'll note the highlights and low-lights below. After an almost an hour wait standing in line outside we were seated. They don't hand out menus and tell to get the one at their website on your phone. I...had the Fox's grill and my wife had the Pancakes with a side of bacon. The Fox;s grill is a large dish with 3 eggs, 3 bacon, 2 sausages, fried potatoes and two toast. I ordered the eggs over medium and they were served pretty much over medium and the requested hot sauce was a spicy green sauce. The bacon was under cooked and greasy. I ate one of the sauces and one bite of the potatoes and left the second sausage and the potatoes since they were cold. The lightly buttered toast with home made strawberry jelly was the best part of the meal. The pancakes were cake like and my wife enjoyed them. Her bacon was also under cooked and greasy. They were clearly short staffed and it affected the service and maybe the kitchen as well. At $53 with tip out the door this breakfast was a very poor value.More

Do not waste your time. It is a tiny!TINY elbow locking restaurant with no proper seating, yes they have tables and chairs but you can literally reach out and eat from the persons plate next to you. No proper distancing, on any given day the...wait is 45mins to 2 hrs if your lucky and you must pay for parking before you to the restaurant chances are you will waste your money on parking cause you can go in anyway. Staff is very slow. Food is subpar. Honestly there are better places and faster. If the owner wanted better they would do better by expanding properly. It’s like bunch of sardines squished into a can. Sorry this is a very honest review.More

We were visiting our son over Christmas and he mentioned Blue Fox Cafe. The reviews were awesome, and when we drove by there wasn't a line up and a table for 3 was becoming available. (a line up formed after). Had their chili mocca which...was spicy but also rich, this was real cocoa chips in their mocca.. Not powder. I had the Margareta omelet... Holy cow, bring your appetite. The meal was huge (its 12 hrs later and I'm still full) and so incredibly tasty! Son had their apple French toast which also was heaped with goodies! Their homemade jams just made you want to forget about the massive hash browns and eat more of that. Prices were more then fair for the size of food you received. The interior was bright and clean and I didn't feel like I was in a prison visitation window area, the partitions were still having an open feeling. We will be back!More

We walked to Blue Fox based on its great Trip Advisor review. They were currently limited to outside tables only due to the latest Covid crack down but we were still served out on the sidewalk tables with an amazing breakfast. Huge portions. I opted...for the Moroccan Chicken Benedict. Delish! Very welcoming staff and great service!More

We had a nice little walk from our hotel to Blue Fox on a damp morning. Getting there shortly after opening, we were pleased to get a table and not put on a waiting list. We saw the size of orders being brought to the...table and decided that if we could share an order, and perhaps add a couple pancakes, that might be a nice complement for each of us. Our waitress agreed that this was a good plan, and they could split the pancake order in half. It's a nice room, with pleasant staff and sweet odors. Our orders arrived shortly, and they were great. No issues with the food or service to this point. We only have one little gripe. Blue Fox Cafe's menu does not include any side order offerings. Some restaurants may say, substitute pancakes for toast for an additional $5.00 or similar, but Blue Fox does not. We ordered a half order of pancakes, in other words, 1 pancake rather than 2. Instead of $16.00 we thought perhaps $8.00 or $10.00. What do you think for 1 pancake? Well, the bill was $12.50 for 1 pancake, or $16.00 for 2. Even though Blue Fox is doing very well and from what I understand often has a line up out the door. I would like to call them out on this, in a gentle way. If you are going to charge $12.50 for a pancake, I think disclosing this to your customers in advance is a good thing. Personally, I don't think this is equitable. I would love to see a pancake option in lieu of toast. If not for this, we would have rated excellent. Lovely little breakfast spot nevertheless.More

We couldn’t find a place that had a short lineup, after walking around for like 30 minutes checking breakfast places, and decided to wait here. Were we ever glad we did. The wait was over an hour. However the service and food was fantastic. The...restaurant can’t be blamed for the staffing and amount of people out to eat. The waitress warned us that the pancakes were huge and we should order one plate to share between our kids. The kids said they were hungry so we ordered two. Don’t repeat our mistake. We have an 11 and 9 year old. Order one order and split it. My wife had the eggs Pico, and I had the Huevos Rancheros with beef and chorizo. The portions were big and there was too many breakfast potatoes with it to eat. Great Food and Service. I would recommend this place and plan on a doggy bag when leaving.More

Blue Fox is the place that I stumbled upon 20’ish years ago and haven’t stopped talking about. Any time someone tells me that they are going to Victoria I insist that they make a point of eating there. It is a very small restaurant and...always has a lineup outside which says it all…it’s worth the wait! Let the “food’gasms” begin!More

Great local café with a menu with a twist. I recommend downloading the menu while in the queue outside as they have no hard copies inside. If you are from overseas like we were with no data, I suggest taking a photo of the menu...on the door! Food is served promptly and it feels very Covid safe. Highly recommended.More

It was my first breakfast out in the New Year and arrived right at the opening of 9 a.m. and was excited to finally try The Blue Fox. Sadly I was soooooo disappointed! Expected to smell fresh coffee and bacon frying, sadly was hit with...such a strong smell of the waitresses perfume and got a migraine headache before our orders were even taken! As for the food…another huge disappointment. I’m pretty sure the pan fried potatoes as well as the bacon were prepared the day before, the sour dough toast was hard as a rock, eggs however were cooked nicely. Coffee was meh! The waitress was cheerful however but sadly after paying almost $80.00 for 3 unappetizing breakfasts we won’t return! Save your $ people!More

Blue Fox Cafe is one of the best places to get breakfast to make your morning hungry belly very happy. I've been working in the hotel and service industry here in Victoria for over 8 years. Blue Fox Cafe is definitely amongst my top 3...places for breakfast recommendations.More

Great to visit again on a recent trip to Victoria, as delicious as we remembered. Even with the COVID 19 lineup, it went quickly, and service was prompt and friendly.
