Schreuder seems like a pretty terrible manager
He is. It's great.
It must be hilarious to watch this shitshow from your POV.
It's more hilarious from my POV
Lol can’t deny that. It’s gotta feel good to be on the other side of the shitshow for once.
I think PSV fans have their own issues as well
Yeah, watching Schreuder's work is pretty much the only enjoyment we get atm, so we have to really enjoy it while it lasts.
Just chiming in that I too am enjoying this.
We are all enjoying this on this blessed day
Can you tell me something btw, why does Utrecht have a rivalry with Ajax? From our side, it’s genuinely just Feyenoord and PSV that I feel this way about. Why do you guys care about Ajax so much? This is not shitting on you, just asking.
Can't believe he still has a job.
You could say that yeah, if you want to be generous.
Going from ten hag to schreuder is literally a day and night difference
For what it's worth, we love having ten hag, martinez and antony at manchester united. Here's to future ajax raids!
How about you create your own club identity
🥲
He is, man did some insane things at Hoffenheim. Couldn't believe he failed upwards after that.
They like to blow up these situations as there is already a big disliking towards Schreuder. He isn't doing great obviously but people are using superrelatives when they are unneeded.
Interviewer: Was this your last game as the starter?
Pasveer: I don’t know.
I: One would assume that you’d be up to date on your current status within the squad, are you still the #1 keeper at Ajax or not?
P: Today, I was. I haven’t heard anything from the manager (Alfred Schreuder), so we’ll see. As I said, I always try my best, I’m someone who never gives up so we’re going full speed ahead.
I: Right. So Rulli’s been signed, the manager’s already said he was brought in for a reason. He cost eight million euros, but the manager hasn’t spoken to you about your role going forward?
P: I haven’t heard anything from the manager, no.
I: Does that disappoint you?
P: Uh, I don’t know. That’s up to the manager, the manager is the one who has to clarify these situations. So far, I haven’t heard anything, so I’m going to keep doing what I’ve been doing all season and that’s winning the (league) title.
I: But I could imagine you’d think, “If I wasn’t going to be the main keeper going forward, I would’ve heard something (by now).”
P: Well, he (Gerónimo Rulli) isn’t yet eligible to play, so it would be hard for us to say anything about it. Well see where it goes, as I said I’m trying my hardest, and we should do whatever is best for Ajax. That the club is looking toward the future is good, and it’s what they should do. Aside from that, there’s nothing to do but wait it out.
Shades of that interviewer to Ivanovic when he was suspended for the champo final
https://youtu.be/7xPQ7fpWs-M
Looked like he didn't know what the fuck the interviewer was saying lol
I’d be so pissed off with the interviewer, how many times are you gonna ask the same uncomfortable question
Fucking disgrace
What an abysmal man manager lmao
Abysmal manager*
Abysmal man as well if it's true that he's often been the source of leaks to the press.
That's how he got his job as head coach for Twente. And when those friends at the press now say one bad thing about him they're horrible human beings in his eyes.
Most dislikeable head manager I've ever seen in the Dutch league. Has 0 self reflection and thinks way too highly of himself. Perfect candidate at Ajax for entertainment purposes:)
His interview after the match is also infuriating. He just doesn't seem to see a problem, no disappointment or frustration after yet another poor result. He doesn't even try to shift blame or talk shit about the ref or anything, he just seems unaware of how bad he's doing.
He just brushes aside all negatives and focuses only about how good the team is and how happy he is with everything.
Reading the transcript he handled these hard questions from the interviewer incredibly professionally. Terrible from schreuder to not have had at least one conversation with him about it though
From what I've seen so far, this Schreuder guy is one sandwich short of a picnic. Players don't seem to know where they stand since he's come in. Had a bit of a weird situation with Kudus as well.
On top of being an absolute clown at team management, Schreuder's PPG is at 1.68, only above Jan Wouters (1.63) in the 'modern' era. He's more than 0.20 below the likes of Van Basten, Keizer & Blind.
Hé Schreuder, pannenkoek!
There is a reason Blind had his contract terminated and its probably Schreuder
Schreuder's basic communication is just terrible. If you want a new goalkeeper for your starting 11 that's perfectly fine, but when you replace someone frkm your starting 11 with a new signing just fucking tell them.
This doesn't even have anything to do with football, it's just common decency to inform someone of a change in the work environment which may impact the individual.
That interviewer basically asked the same question 5 times lol
ESPN here in the Netherlands is shit
Fishing for spicy comments, but Pasveer controlled it really well.
Ajax’s management is an absolute shambles. They’re at the same location every fucking day and no one seems to communicate with each other.
Knowing Schreuder and his love of playing players out of position for absolutely no reason there's a non zero chance he's gonna play Rulli as a defensive midfielder.
“Onze problemen op de rechtervleugel zijn denk ik opgelost nu we Rulli hebben kunnen kopen”
After the blind situation, where he publicly( for some reason) admitted that he hadn't actually spoken to Blind for like a few weeks and didn't even talk to him when he was released. It's like he just doesn't communicate with his players, seems like a great manager. For the love of god please never fire this man ajax.
Just another day of Balloonhead Management. Disgraceful.
I can see a future keepers drama at Ajax if Schreuder is going to be Ajax's coach.
I fail to see what is so "bizarre" about this interview.
Yeah I mean.. it would be bizarre if the coach himself didn't know about it, but I don't think there is a great deal of discussion with a player when the club is considering a purchase for his position apart from some very special cases.
This reeks from my FM saves…. And it doesn’t usually go over well there either.
