The raciest naked dress EVER! £1,400 sheer slip with cutouts that you can't wear a bra under is THE 'it gown' on the red carpet

  • Albanian designer, Nensi Dojaka, 28, based in London is dressing every A-lister
  • Her dresses are a favourite among Zendaya, Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski
  • The pieces start from a size UK 6 and go up to UK 14 for £1,400 dress
  • Stylist said there's nowhere to hide, unless you try wearing a blazer over it

The naked gown trend is a staple of the red carpet, but a new 'it dress' is taking things to new levels - thanks to mostly sheer fabric, multiple cut outs and barely- there straps.

The see-through creation, costing £1,400, is the work of Albania-born Central Saint Martins alumna, Nensi Dojaka, 28, who not surprisingly studied lingerie design for her undergraduate degree and MA.

A-listers including Zendaya, Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Bieber to Jourdan Dunn have all been spotted in variations on her famous frock, which is so skimpy it's impossible to wear a bra underneath.

Nensi has quickly risen to fashion darling status among celebrities and the industry landing the emerging designer talent gong at this week's British Fashion Awards, and the prestigious LVMH prize for young designers earlier this year.

But while the high street is usually quick to rush out its own copies of the latest celebrity trend can any mere mortal without a supermodel body ever get away with wearing one of Nensi's ultra-skimpy designs?

'These are not easy dresses to wear for most women. There is nowhere to hide in a sheer dress like this,' Anna Berkeley, body shape expert and stylist told Femail.

'Most women are going to be really worried about the amount of flesh on show.

If you've got your stomach, boobs, shoulders, arms and half your legs expose, it's kind of everything, alongside not being able to wear a bra. So in that respect, I think it's really tricky.

'There's definitely people who can get away with it, who are really bold, But for the few average women, it's incredibly difficult to pull off.'

Speaking practically, there's only one season for the delicate designs, and that's summer, but when they're being worn in the cold breezy months of November and December, it's a testament to how on trend Dojaka's pieces are.

'It's almost like dressing to the Oscars, rather than normal party wear for Christmas,' Anna said.

'However, you could sling a blazer over it for instance and that's gonna give a kind of modicum of cover and then it feels much less scary because it's not all out there.

'If you've got the confidence in the body for it, go for it.'

Nensi's pieces start a size 6 and go up to 14, exluding curvier customers, although she's said that her dream is to dress plus-size model Ashley Graham.

But Anna said that for her clients, she would look for something with more structure.

'Curve women (16+) can look incredibly sexy, what I look for with my curve clients are softer, more expensive fabrics, great design and quality that lasts,' she said.

'In the brave world in which we celebrate natural beauty and body confidence Nensi Dojaka's sexy silhouettes and cutting of fine fabrics both support the body whilst showing the perfect amount of skin,' celebrity stylist to Elizabeth Hurley, Mike Adler told Femail.

'Sexy dressing is not only about confidence but also about balance, something I always prioritise with my celebrity dressing.

When accessorising a Nensi Dojaka piece off the red carpet, do not challenge the look and keep jewels to a minimum with a glam pair of stilettos, knee high boots or pumps.'

Nensi Dojaka studied lingerie design as an undergraduate at London College of Fashion and her MA collection at Central Saint Martins.

In 2020, she made her debut at London Fashion Week with design collective Fashion East.

That same year, Bella Hadid wore Dojaka's tailored trousers and mesh bodysuit to the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, an event that's just much about music as it is fashion.

'It was great exposure and a lot of buyers came to see me for the first time,' Dojaka told Vogue Business this week.

It was quickly later spotted on The Crown's rising fashion star, Emma Corrin in November, when she was promoting the Netflix hit show with her stylist, Harry Lambert, the man behind Harry Styles' standout looks.

The designs have been emulated by fast fashion companies such as Pretty Little Thing, Shein, Boohoo and Oh Polly.

A piece similar to Corrin's will set you back £1,425 on Matches Fashion, meanwhile replicas are going for £8 over the internet.
