I have been under the wrong impression, due to changes at Red Carpet on Blackstone, that the company had been sold. It has not.
It's still a good car wash and the service is top-notch. There is not quite the hustle that used to be seen in all of the employees. The quality of their work is good so speed is not of the utmost importance to me.
I am able to pick up a small garbage bag for my car each time I go in. The receipt to get the car can be brought back next time for $1 off, but that's not such a big deal any more when the wash is $25+.
The Blackstone location still does smog checks although I did not see any signs indicating that. I am pleased to know that the smog checks are still available as I've been going to Red Carpet for that service, as well as washes, for over 25 years. I plan to continue.Business owner information

Hi Delaine,
Sorry about the hustle not being up to snuff and the poor vac job. On your next visit please ask for a service alert re the vacuum. This is a process we have that has a supervisor check the work on area's we have missed before. The store manager's name is David and he's off Sun/Mon, I'll be forwarding him this review so he can coach up his team.
Re your thoughts on change of ownership, I can assure we have not sold. My grandfather started the chain in 1967 and we are still a locally owned business running 3 generations now. We also still smog at Blackstone, never stopped. Only change has been we don't smog on Sunday's any longer. We still offer the free wash with your smog, so if you are in need we can take care of you!

I typically have my car hand washed, but pressed on time I went to red carpet paid $29.99 and they didn't even wipe down my window or upholstery. Who charges $30 and now wipe down the interior. I will never return

I have been coming here for over 10 years for oil changes car washes even on Saturdays and I pull up in my son's car on a Saturday morning and they tell me that they only do the more expensive oil change on a brand-new car that only has 6000 miles on it and I said I came here two Saturdays ago in my car and they did the regular oil changed like I wanted but because his is over a $50,000 car they will only do the premium oil change on his car so now I'm going to find somewhere else to do my oil changes and I will cancel both of my memberships of my car washes through ride and shine

Hi Heather, the cost of the vehicle has nothing to do with type of oil we will or will not put in your engine. We put what the manufacturer calls for. I’m going to assume that your sons vehicle calls for synthetic which is more expensive than standard oil. Take a look at his owners manual if it calls for regular oil and we put synthetic I’ll be happy to refund your visit. Please let me know.

Red Carpet car wash on Bullard and Palm is the worst car wash I've been to. The employees do a horrible job of brushing the car off before the was process. I had to come home and hand wash the car it was so bad. This is the 3rd time I've had this experience. It was $13 and from the employees scrubbing the car (very nice guys) to the drive thru wash, nothing was accomplished. It would have been more productive to stay at home and sponge wash my car in the dark. If this happened once, I would over look it, but every time I have been there, it is the exact same result. I will not go there again...a total waste of money. Also, I attempted to email the company directly, but they don't have a "contact" option on their website. I wish I didn't have to give any stars for my review.

Kudos to manager David who went above and beyond with Customer Service. I had a small issue and he made it right. He also threw in a surprise bonus and was able to remove paint transfer on my bumper. I didn't even know that could be done so simply!

Been in two Accidents in the last six months that totaled out two different vehicles I owned none my fault I drive with a dash cam. Purchased a vehicle on September 3 Approximately two weeks later took my car to red carpet car wash, no other institution or place I had seen my vehicle! After my car wash I realized two days after that my personal items were stolen. Not everyone's a Republican and lies steals and cheats I worked hard for my shit!! This place is horrible and never will I ever come back!!

I have been in sales for over 13 years, and if I owned my own business, I would hire Alex! I can't stand when sales people are pushy or look at you like a walking dollar sign. I had looked at their website and was going to purchase a package for $20 something. After telling Alex what I needed he told me about a packaged that would be better for my needs. It was $20 more, however it included everything that I would need. Being an Uber driver my car needs to be cleaned, wheels and vacuumed daily. He was straight to the point and had the best customer service.

This is my second time coming the first time my car was nasty then Jose said he will comp me my 2nd Carwash. Here I am months later and still a very bad job. Honestly if you want your car cleaned we'll go to Picadilly HAND Carwash they don't charge as much and they do a very good job. They were closed so I came here.

Don't bother paying the premium here for full service... its a long wait and definitely half asked. All the emoyees I interacted with except the cashier seemed to know whats going on. Car wash was subpar. Bugs left on the window. Definitely not vacuumed, and door jams not touched. I can believe they handed me my keys thinking they were finished! I know its hard to find good help these days but it shows here.
Don't throw away your money people.
