When Raheem Morris was appointed interim Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons, the team was on a 4-game losing streak. After Sunday’s impressive 34-27 win over the struggling Denver Broncos, the Falcons have now won 4 of their last 4 NFL games under Morris.

In addition to that, the likes of Todd Gurley, WR Julio Jones, and QB Matt Ryan have all been impressive over the last couple of weeks.

Morris has been in Atlanta since 2015. He started his tenure with the Falcons as an Assistant Head Coach and defensive backs coach. He started the 2020 NFL season as a defensive coordinator before his promotion. He could be in line for a permanent role if the Falcons continue to play like this over the next 6 weeks.

“They’re playing really good football and they are a fun team to watch again. I believe Raheem Morris should be the Falcons coach of the future….this team turned things around.

“They’re playing hard for Raheem Morris. And personally, I think Raheem Morris should be the head coach. There’s a lot of reasons, one, he’s got experience.

“Two, he was too young maybe to be the Buccaneers head coach when he had that shot. Now he’s matured and done things with other franchises Washington, now Atlanta has been offensive coach, defensive coach,” Schrager said on the show.

The Falcons are on bye week right now. On their return, they will go up against reigning NFC South champions New Orleans Saints in Week 11. A win against the Saints can spur a last-gasp comeback for the Falcons in the latter half of the season.
