I just started 2nd year of electrical engineering. I know it's only the first month, but some things people have told me, and some comments on this sub, worry me. Namely about how the ECE department kind of sucks. Many say manji is the best prof in the department, which makes me nervous as he spends so much time on unimportant details in his lectures while glossing over the most important parts. The 221 and 278 profs also suck. MTHE235 is pretty good, but that's run by the math department.

I'm wondering if it is a good idea to switch into eng phys elec? My marks are great, and I'm not worried about the workload. Is it any better or am I just stuck dealing with the same profs? How much will it set me back by? Any upper year elec students want to share their experiences with the profs at this school, or just general advice? Thanks.

Why would they make hoco in the middle of reading week? Won’t most people still be gone or aware most people staying.

Has anyone been in this situation before + able to provide some insight as to the legality of doing so?

Example: if a lease is set to begin May 2022 but you've already signed the lease, can you cancel before the rental period has begun?
