There's an Official 'Quarantine Wine' Thanks to Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

100 percent of the profits will support COVID-19 relief efforts.

Ashton Kutcher is, by all accounts, doing quarantine right. (And no, those are not words that anyone ever expected to type, in that order or otherwise.) He has politely waited for takeout at a Los Angeles restaurant while wearing a mask and maintaining proper social distance. He accessorized with a pair of 'carbon-neutral sneakers.' He has also been tweeting his support for organizations that supply front-line workers with personal protective equipment, and those that are assisting the elderly.

Over the weekend, the That 70s Show actor announced that he and his wife, Mila Kunis, have partnered with Walla Walla-based winery Nocking Point to release a special quarantine-themed pinot noir, and 100 percent of the proceeds from each bottle will be donated to one of four different charities that they believe in.

The couple discussed the wine—called Quarantine Wine, obvs—in a video that Nocking Point shared on its YouTube channel. "These are unprecedented times that we're living in," Kutcher says. "And unprecedented times call for—"

"More drinking!" Kunis interrupts. (Hard agree, Mila.)

Kutcher said that, in addition to spending their evenings having virtual date nights and hanging out with friends online, they've also been trying to help out a number of charities. And he was quick to note that the idea to create a wine and sell it as a "charitable donation" came from Kunis.

"We partnered with our friends at Nocking Point who make a bunch of different wines that we really like, and Mila came up with the design, and the label," Kutcher said. "On the bottle, it's an interactive label. It says 'Toasting To' and you can write whoever you want to toast to, whether it's a friend that you're sharing an evening with, or it's somebody who's doing something great [...] or just a toast to getting through the day. How 'bout that?"

The official Quarantine Wine website is currently taking pre-orders for delivery in early May. The wine is a 2018 Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, made by lead winemaker Sarah Cabot of Battle Creek Vineyards. It retails for $50 for two bottles, or $40 for members of the Nocking Point Wine Club. (And yes, the label is blank so you can grab a marker and customize it for "a virtual happy hour with a friend or loved one.")

The four charities that will share the profits from Quarantine Wine are Give Directly, which provides cash grants to SNAP families in hard-hit areas; Direct Relief, which donates medical equipment and PPE to healthcare workers; the Frontline Responders Fund, which delivers PPE and ventilators to hospitals and other healthcare facilities; and America's Food Fund, a collaboration between Feeding America and chef José Andrés' World Central Kitchen.

Like, Kunis said, you're basically getting two bottles of wine in exchange for donating to some charities. And you don't even have to wear carbon-neutral kicks to enjoy it.
