West winds gusting between 35 and 45 mph will be common across portions of the Inland Northwest on Wednesday including the Columbia Basin, Palouse, Spokane metro, and the Wenatchee area. Widely scattered power outages and minor tree damage will be possible from late morning into the afternoon.
Mountain passes in the Cascades and Idaho Panhandle will receive significant snowfall and locally gusty winds Tuesday night into Thursday. Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions at Snoqualmie, Stevens, and Lookout Passes. Another round of heavy snow is expected this weekend, too.
A stormy weekend is in store for the Pacific Northwest. Saturday will likely feature strong winds for parts of central and eastern Washington as well as a good chance for wet lowland snow in the valleys of north Idaho and northeast/north central Washington. Heavy mountain snow Saturday and Sunday will likely cause winter driving conditions over mountain passes.
