Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis to Decorate Christmas Tree Virtually

The Cambridge Children Will Decorate the Middleton Family Christmas Tree Via Video Call This Year

The royal trio's maternal grandmother, Carole Middleton, revealed how the family aims to stay connected this season.

The Cambridges are finding new ways to stay connected this holiday season, even amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Per People, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will still help their maternal grandmother, Carole Middleton, decorate the Middleton family Christmas tree this year, though this time around, the festivities will be done virtually. Middleton revealed how her family would be ringing in the holidays differently this year with an Instagram post shared on her party planning company's official page. For the seasonal message, Middleton shared a photo of her posing in front of a festive array of gold and white balloons, wearing a chic velvet top, glittery trousers, and chunky suede heels.

“We may not be able to get together but, after a year like 2020, we need to remember what’s really important this Christmas," wrote the Party Pieces founder. "For me, what really matters is that my family feels connected. I normally let my grandchildren help me decorate the tree. This year, I’ll ask them by video call to decide which decoration should go where. It may need to be tastefully rearranged later…!"

The Middleton family matriarch continued, mentioning how this upcoming holiday season is helping bring her a sense of joy and escapism amid such a trying year.

“Curating our Christmas ranges gave me some joy and escapism, and I hope they help you feel the same," continued Middleton. From alternative advent calendars to Christmas decorations and stocking fillers, Party Pieces has everything you need for this festive season, which we hope is a safe and happy one for all. Yours, Carole.”
