The comedian starred in three big releases with Me Time, The Man from Toronto, and DC League of Super-Pets. These movies varied in critical reception, but there have been several notable movies from Hart's career that have earned strong reviews. The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019) - 60%

Hart has lent his distinct voice to a number of animated projects including the sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2. The movie continues to follow the adventures of Max the dog and other pets as they live their own secret lives when their owners are away. Hart reprises his role of Snowball, the adorable yet wild bunny.

The Five-Year Engagement (2012) - 64%

Hart was just one of many big names in the relationship comedy Five-Year Engagement. Jason Segel and Emily Blunt star as a couple whose plans to get married continuously hit obstacles leading to struggles in their relationship. Hart plays a fellow grad student working with Blunt.

Taking on a more serious role than he is known for, Hart starred in the comedy-drama Fatherhood. Based on a true story, Hart plays a new father who suddenly loses his wife and is forced to grapple with raising his young daughter on his own.

The father-daughter relationship movie didn't break any new ground in the eyes of critics, however, the strong performances made it a heartwarming and emotional story. Hart received particular praise for his against-type performance.

Hart and Dwayne Johnson have proven to be a terrific pair, collaborating on a number of movies over the years and it all started with Central Intelligence. Hart plays a former popular kid in school who finds himself in a rut until he is contacted by a former bullied classmate (Johnson) who turns out to be a super-spy.

The chemistry between Hart and Johnson is immediately apparent to critics who acknowledge that is the selling point of the whole movie. Their funny dynamic helps it to overcome a weak script that does the stars no favors.

Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) - 71%

Hart returned to his most popular franchise with the adventure sequel Jumanji: The Next Level. The follow-up finds the young heroes venturing back into the video game to save their friend with some mixing up of the characters, leading to Hart impersonating the elderly Danny Glover for much of the movie.

The sequel didn't quite live up to the surprising fun of the original that revisited the beloved childhood movie. However, there were many who felt it retained enough of what worked the first time while also adding some great new elements.

Critics found the movie to be an ideal animated adventure that the whole family could enjoy together. The cute characters and simple story appeal to younger audiences while the impressive animation and talented voice cast would offer something to older audiences.

Along with starring in The Secret Life of Pets movies, Hart joined another animated adventure that looks at some even more impressive pets. DC League of Super-Pets follows Krypto (Dwayne Johnson), Superman's loyal and superpowered dog who teams with Batman's hound Ace (Hart) to rescue his master.

Critics acknowledged that the movie never reaches the heights of some of the best animated movies. However, there is enough fun in there to make it a worthwhile family-friendly adventure that offers something to DC fans as well.

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle (2017) - 76%

This is definitely one of the best collaborations between Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. In Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, a group of high-school kids discover an old-generation game console. In it, there is a game called Jumanji. Before they know it, the game sucks them into its jungle setting and transforms their bodies.

Critics were largely surprised by how successfully the movie reinvented the Jumanji franchise. The fast-paced and exciting adventure story offered a new approach while still capturing the spirit of the original. And the cast, which also includes, Karen Gillan and Jack Black, added a lot of fun to the ride.

This Is The End (2013) - 83%

In This Is The End, Seth Rogen's comedy masterpiece, Kevin Hart plays himself. The movie revolves around six buddies who get trapped inside a Los Angeles house after the city is hit with a series of strange catastrophes. Limited supplies and tensions put a strain on the once-solid relationship between the friends. Eventually, they are forced to go outside and confront the impending doom.

Fans might not expect a movie that ends with the apocalypse to be so funny, finishing second behind Man Of Steel on its opening weekend. Though it was rated R by the Motion Picture Association Of America, it performed well at the box office too. It made $126 million worldwide against a budget of $36 million.

Top Five (2014) - 86%

Chris Rock wrote, directed and stars in the hilarious comedy Top Five. Rock plays a comedian struggling with sobriety who spends the day with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) as he prepares for an upcoming movie release and his highly publicized wedding. Hart plays Rock's agent in the movie.

Critics felt that this was the movie Rock was always meant to make and a career highlight for his movie work. It is filled with the kind of sharp and intelligent comedy seen in Rock's stand-up while also featuring a lot of fun cameos from the likes of Adam Sandler, Cedric the Entertainer, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017) - 87%

Hart joined yet another animated movie with the unique superhero story Captain Underpants. Based on the popular children's book series, Hart and Thomas Middleditch play youngsters who mange to hypnotize their principal into thinking he is a superhero named Captain Underpants.

The movie was praised for its fun animation style and humor that embraced the absurdity of the story. While it didn't launch a franchise as seems to have been the intention, critics find that it is still a great animated adventure for the whole family to enjoy.
