      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

An attempt at political satire that lacks any wit or relevance, Postal is nonetheless one of Uwe Boll's more successful films -- for what it's worth.

Bob J Is it a dumb film? Yes. But it doesn't try to be smart or thoughtful just like the postal games. The postal series has never demanded a sense of respect and thoughtful to the franchise, it's just slop, but I'd be lying if I said the slop isn't good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Random P This movie perfectly represents the Postal franchise. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Maxs r I thought it was a pretty solid movie but k obsessed with the postal franchise so i might have a small bias Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Braydon this movie is a masterpiece.if movies could be rated AO then this movie would need it 10/10 would watch again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Nick P It's so bad it's great. I'd definitely recommend it as a movie to watch with friends. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Artorius B Uwe Boll is certainly to the movieworld what the little stain of feces which I can't wash away by just peeing on it is to my toilet... His movies are bad, the screenwriting is even worse, he somehow gets good actors (Jason Statham, Til Schweiger) to give the worst acting in their Carrier... but he realized Postal! Itis low budget, it is goofy and its absoloutly nuts... great! Hr. Boll somehow manages to reproduce the sick and Twisted humor of the Videogame, he even gets some Metahumor with a tongue-in-cheek reference to him being thw holder of the last Nazigold within the movie... Well, it has action, it is absoloutly balony, it is quite greate for fans of the genre. Thw Postsl dude could have been a little more of this nihilistic psychopath he is supossed to be in the Videogames, and while at it - thw humor could have been a little dyrker... But 2,5 Stars is absoloutly fair to give this movie. It is but ahort and good fun, but quite forgetable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nathan Rabin AV Club With Postal, Boll clearly set out to make history's most offensive, hateful movie. As is his custom, he failed spectacularly. Rated: C- Apr 25, 2019 Full Review Joshua Rothkopf Time Out Postal goes from offensive 9/11 comedy (window washers on the WTC) to trailer-park crudity and back with no rhyme or reason. Rated: 1/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review John Anderson Newsday Convinced that Arab terrorists are inherently hilarious, and that shooting fish in the leaky barrel of American pop culture takes marksmanship, Boll is a boor, and a symptom of something sad and dehumanizing. Rated: 0/4 Oct 18, 2008 Full Review Martin Tsai New York Sun The German Mr. Boll and the Canadian Mr. Knight seem to want to comment on American culture, but their bystander perspectives clearly do nothing to inform them how to maximize their material. Apr 25, 2019 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Más Gamers A bad movie based on a lousy video game. It barely works as a satire, and as a comedy only managed to extract a couple of laughs out of me. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 1/4 Apr 3, 2017 Full Review John Lekich Georgia Straight Although the best parts of Postal seem driven by a committed cast and a fearless sense of juvenile experimentation, there's little here that's consistently funny or original.
