Notable Changes[]

Items[]

  • TM's are unlimited.
  • "No05 Grass Knot" says "A savage roar that makes a foe flee to end the battle" however once used it will say "A move that inflicts more damage on heavier foes" as "Grass Knot" is supposed to.
  • "Thick Club" was added to Cubone in the desert to have it at a low chance like other Pokémon games.
  • "TM37 Sandstorm" has changed to "Stone Edge", when you read it as a TM it doesn't have the correct summary.
  • "TM32 Double Team" has changed to "X-Scissor".
  • "HM03 Surf" cannot be learned by some water starters, including Frogadier, who usually is able to learn it. However, it can be learned by the starters' final forms.

Types[]

  • Physical/Special split has been updated so that they are not exclusive according to types, reflecting moves like in generation 7 including updated base power.
  • Fairy has been added to the game.
  • The weakness and resistance chart seems to reflect generation 7.

Moves[]

  • Galvantula's move "Electroweb" - regardless of what it says, it is a poison type move and puts the opposing Pokémon to sleep with seemingly increased accuracy, and compound eyes seem to make it 100%.
  • "Round Eyes" = "Baby Doll Eyes"
  • "Charm Voice" = "Disarming Voice"

Notes[]

  • Moves may have different names because the original was a translation from Portuguese.
  • Moves have different effects sometimes though many moves are updated to reflect the 7th generation Pokémon.

Abilities[]

  • Wimpod and Golisopod do not have "Wimp Out" or "Emergency Exit" and Instead has "Shell Armor"
  • Alolan Vulpix seems to have "Inner Focus" rather than another ability.
  • Fletchling does not seem to have either of its abilities, instead has "Keen Eye".
  • Riolu has "Speed Boost" which may be different from the Portuguese language instead of "Steadfast". It increasing its speed at the end of every turn by 1 stage.
  • Fomantis has "Chlorophyll" instead of others.
  • Amaura has "Suction Cups" instead of others.
  • When Rockruff evolves to Lycanroc it has "Sand Veil" instead of "Sand Rush".

Notes[]

  • Many Abilities are different reflecting older abilities that were available in generation 3 such as Torkoal not getting "Drought" because it was the signature ability of Groudon until later generations.
  • Many Pokémon seemingly only have one available ability, such as Mareanie only having "Limber". This seems to be mostly the new Pokémon and former Pokémon without additional choices.

Helpful tips:[]

  • False Swipe always leaves a Pokemon with at least 1HP, and it never kills. This is useful for catching them. Pokemon with False Swipe include Axew, Alolan Marowak

Significant Glitches you need to avoid!!![]

  • Do not use Secret Power on trees or rock walls. It will crash the game.
  • Some Pokedex entries when you catch a new pokemon will have glitched text where the text is at the side where you can't see it, just ignore it and look at its entry in the pokedex later.
  • Do not interact with the tvs inside the tree houses from Fortree city, that will crash your game too, unless you interviewed Gabby & Ty, then it will not glitch.
  • If you scroll down in the Pokedex all the way to the end, it will crash your game.
  • This isn't a glitch to avoid, but if you use move that steals the opponents item on Brawly's Pancham, including Thief and Bug Bite, you are able to steal its Master Ball. A way to get this in early game is catching a grubbin, who soon learns the move Bug Bite.
