So the potential matches I get are often out of my age or distance range, and their have-versus-want kids desires are often different from mine. I was hoping to find out if there is a way to fix this since I don't want suggestions for people I will definitely not date based on these settings. I already have similar things (like distance and age), so I would like to apply these settings to Meet Me and the homepage if that's even a thing. Other sites have this kind of functionality, so I'm hoping PoF does too.

Hey all so I was just wondering if there is someone on here who has a membership that could possibly search a user I am suspicious of? It’s a long story and it will just answer the question I’ve had forever now..thanks in advance :-)

So I've used POF on and off for many years and in all the years I have used it I have never had a warning about my behaviour or profile. But a few weeks ago I found my profile banned. I don't really care that I am banned on POF but now I cant use Hinge or Tinder (all owned by Match).

The only thing I can think may have caused this was a quick coffee date I had with a woman the day before my profile was banned. It was only a quick chat and we had a polite discussion, however she looked nothing like her photo, but I never mentioned that. After the date I texted her through POF and said "It was great meeting you today' and left it at that. She replied with the same, but then later on that night I saw she blocked me. I have no idea why but that's ok as I wasnt invested. However the next morning I woke up and found I had been banned from POF.

Ive lodged an appeal and got the automated response saying its rejected. I spoke to someone on Live Chat who said the only thing I can do is lodge an appeal. So now I'm going in circles.

Lately I am getting a lot …are looking for a different kind of person…what does that even mean? I tried changing my goal, my salary etc. but still get the same results? Anyone know what this is? Is it because I don’t subscribe?

I am 37 m in the United States. Never married with no kids. I have always dated with the idea that it would eventually lead to marriage.

My life ended up going down some unexpected routes. I am happy with the person I am and the path I have taken. But having the traditional marriage with kids is just not really on my plate anymore. It is totally fine. I have just never really casually dated before.

Does anyone have any advice in how to get into casual dating for the first time in your late 30s?

Some parameters to consider. I live with my parents. Moving out is not an option. So, this would always stay casual. And obviously I am not interested in having kids of my own either.

Tips for after a good first date

So I went on a first date last night with this guy who I seem to really like. We had great conversation leading up to the date and during although I'm pretty much the driver of the conversations (I don't mind it that much because I've gotten used to that from guys) Anyway we met around 4:30 for drinks and stayed at the bar until 11:30. Towards the middle of the night he put his hand on my leg rubbing his fingers lightly which showed me yes he's interested and it ended with him walking me to my car and giving me a hug a several little kisses goodnight. My question is we had so much conversation prior to and during our date that I'm not sure how to keep it going and keep it interesting through text until our "hopefully" second date. I might be coming off as a winer here. Here is what I don't understand.

A few people I have messaged instantly blocked me. I was not offensive in the least or came across as weird. If they don't respond back I can't message them anyway. I don't understand how it helps them.

I am looking for advice from others who are casually dating in their late 30s. It has taken a lot of soul searching but I have realized I am just not made to have a family and my own place. I thought I always wanted that. But life can take a few unexpected turns. I am happy with my life; this is just something I never really prepared for.

I am 37 male, never married and no kids. I live with my parents. I live about 15 minutes outside of two smallish cities. And about an hour and a half from two major cities. I downloaded POF app and I got to the screen where you type in your interests, when I clicked 'next' it told me my account had been removed. I hadn't even finished creating it yet!

Is there a way I can still create one? I'm very confused as to what made it remove me. Any thoughts?
