Purchased Birdhouse with Post Assembly

Purchased Birdhouse with Post Assembly. Post assm is short 5' and prepared as a Kit in multiple pcs. This Kit is junk or worse, it is a "Toy"; includes little tiny screws to hold the top spindle to the bottom spindle, cross-balance slats, an auger and a mtg plate. Terrible design--Toys may be more durable!. The spindles broke apart 5-seconds into installation.

I ordered a gift for mom’s 85th…

I ordered a gift for mom’s 85th birthday. It arrived in boxes that were extremely damaged. I contacted the company and their solution was to ship a new one and send a label for my mom to ship back. How does an 85 year old box up a smashed table that should have never been left for her to deal with. Final resolution because they had no empathy was a refund and we were left to deal with the broken items that are too big for her to handle.

If I could give a 0 star review I…

If I could give a 0 star review I certainly would. I made a purchase in early 2023; returned the item according to Plow and Hearth's instructions; received confirmation they received the returned items and I still haven't received my refund. I've called multiple times and they suddenly now say I must get my money back from Walmart (it was a 3rd party purchase). Walmart wouldn't take the item back; I had to return directly to Plow & Hearth. I've called several times and was told I would get my refund anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 days. Now they are saying I have to go through Walmart.

Don't buy anything you might want to return

Ordered a rug that was not the color or the quality I expected. It was easy to arrange to send it back, but I am still waiting for my refund a full two weeks after they received the return. The reply to my inquiry was a cut-and-past stock email that was not in the least helpful. I am not likely to buy from them again if returns are this annoying.
Also note that I could not leave a review--the site refused to accept it, even with ad blockers removed.

Solid people

This company has a totally disorganized, confused internal system, from the order process, to the end ship, which has been time-consuming, frustrating and actually silly, at times.
BUT....when all is said and done, the customer service people have all been extremely nice, helpful and eager to make things right. They’ve gone overboard to correct the hiccups and for that, I’m giving them four stars. In the end, what matters to me is honesty and integrity.

Diminishing Quality..

As a customer of many years and after having worked for them for a few years I personally witnessed a diminishing of the quality of their products. P&H (a family owned company for many years) was purchased several years ago by a company called Evergreen.Once that purchase was made, Evergreen brought in more and more of their own, manufactured items, most of poor quality. This was very noticeable by the huge jump in returns after the last 2 Holiday seasons I worked there. Items that wouldn't work correctly, wouldn't go together correctly, etc. Sadly, as a customer AND employee, the diminishing quality become VERY apparent. It's just another story of a family started and owned business being bought out and ultimately ruined by big corporate greed and poor manufacturing quality. read "cheap".. Sad to see stores closed now..

No Remote Your Tough Luck

I bought a fountain, at $100 more that I later found it on Amazon, then lost the remote and not only do they not sell the remote seperately but had no advice on using fountain without the remote. Ridiculous 🤬🤬🤬 that is Definitely the last time I purchase their overpriced no support behind them products

Bought battery powered candles…

Bought battery powered candles defective product caused battery acid to leak through on my furniture would not credit me because past the 90 day return,which they failed to tell me. Thank goodness they are closing, cheap defective products

When my wind spinner broke I wrote and asked what I could do. They said because I purchased it through a third party, tv shopping network, they couldn't help me???????? It's their product with their name on it. I will NEVER buy from this company again as they have NO customer service.

Worst online shopping experience

I cancelled an item due to their super late expected shipping date. Two months later, the cancelled order showed up at my door without any explanation. Now they are telling me to dropped it off at an ups location and once they received the item back, I can get my full refund. Worst service ever from any online stores I have shopped. They ask you to take care of their mess while holding on to your money.

DON’T ORDER MONTHS OF FLOWER BULBS

DON’T ORDER MONTHS OF FLOWER BULBS. Very dissatisfied with my order and unfortunately I have written emails about my deliveries and have not received any replies.
Issue with my first delivery, several of my bulbs were not intact in the soil totally out of the pot, because the address label was placed on the wrong side of the box. They have an arrow showing which direction the box needs to be, but the label was on the wrong side, so of course people read the label so the box was turned over.
Second delivery does not include a wicker basket as the pictures show. Very misleading.

Christmas bulb garden…a dud!

I purchased a Christmas bulb garden from this company. It arrived late November, not a problem I thought as it shipped promptly. I have ordered several things in the past so not a new company for me. Now weeks later, I have had only two scraggly flowers, and not much sign of getting more. It was not cheap! I have tried to find a way to at least give it a bad review but their site doesn’t seem to allow that. I just want to warn people not to buy this type of thing from them.

Horrible company!

Shipping? If you need it to arrive on time, do not order. If you can wait over 3, almost 4 weeks, while they charge your card, this might be the company for you. Oh, and do not forget, it will be 3 days before they can respond to an email, and can deal with damaged merchandise upon opening the item you have been waiting on almost a month. If it says it will be delivered by Christmas, ha ha ha, I wouldn't believe it, even if you PAY extra. ( Fireplace screen for Christmas present. )

Never received items

Ordered items on 8-15. Email confirmation of 9-11 ship date. Emailed several times asking why items have not shipped. They stated they were shipping soon. They still had not shipped, so I emailed again. This time they said the items won’t ship until 12-31 and suggested I choose different items. They were never even going to notify me? I had to keep emailing about it before they investigated. Still waiting on a refund.

Completely misleading advertising from…

Completely misleading advertising from what is in the catalog and what is available. Called for a customized fireplace screen, which is advertised under the heading "Custom Made Sizes to Fit Any Hearth" and provided the item number. After 3x on hold, I was informed by that none of the items in the catalog were customized, and that only those on line could be customized. The representative was very helpful, however, I wouldn't purchase anything from a company that mislead consumers in this manner.

Ordered this for my husband for…

Ordered this for my husband for Christmas. he just got around to opening the package and on of the lights post is broken. He also doesn’t like the fact that the batteries are not ‘standard’. I could have bought some cheaper ones but thought Plow and Hearth was good quality products. So disappointed.

I clicked on the horse travel mug

I clicked on the horse travel mug. When I got the email confirmation it was for a Gnome
mug which I did not order. When I contacted them just
a couple hours later they would not cancel the order.
They said there was nothing they could do which I find
ridiculous when the order had just been placed. I have to refuse delivery and hope I catch the Fedex guy when he's dropping it off and only when it's returned will I hopefully get a refund. I've never encountered a
company where you couldn't cancel an order. On top
of that the rep said she couldn't even find the horse mug
I was referring to. Plus side to all this, I found the exact same mug on Amazon cheaper and shipping is free. I will never shop at Plow and Hearth again.

Sad state of affairs for online purchases

I would not give theme one star but it s the only way to write a review
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
I ordered 3 items online to a local store for pickup. One item came in all three were charged. 2 moths later still waiting. Estimated another 6 weeks for the other items. So sad to see such a stellar company in this condition.
