Just a word of warning. I was just scammed by some chick on Plenty of Fish

She told me that POF now has video chat and that you have to sign up for it. I then went to the POF video chat sign up site she sent me. I signed in and added my credit card number. I was then automatically transferred to some porn cam site.

POF does not have video chat so do not fall for this!!!

Really? You game them your credit card? Why would it be a separate thing and not included in the POF upgraded membership? I was already a little concerned that the women I was talking to was to good to be true. When she brought up the video chat I knew she was...

I checked their help center out and there is no mention of video chat, nor does this POF review on this site mention it.

Word of warning to everyone

How are people so gullible. You just hand out your credit card number to strangers? If the site does not have a legitimate customer service number they never get my credit card number regardless of if they are real or not. So a fake one...Sheesh!

How long has the video chat option been unavailable? I keep getting people sending me this message:

Thanks for the info on here I didn’t fall for the scam either. But she’s out there on the site tonight. I hope all you guys come here first. I feel sorry for you. She’s an attractive woman and she’ll say whatever it takes to get you to be a sucker.

Ashamedly, I just fell for the same scam.
In one of her messages, the woman directed me to a POF look-alike website where I stupidly handed over my credit info.
I immediately realized something smelled fishy and cancelled my account.
Pain in the ass.
Lesson learned

it seems the only women on this site are scammers I have replied to three women and have got the same response. go to the video chat and enter your credit card. I have got messages in my inbox saying I have been trying to reach you. can you go to the video chat section and reply. I am not stupid, I belong to other dating sites. once you initially join no site will ask you again for your credit infor. if they do it has to be a scam. I have responded to several of these scams and told them it was a scam. all of a sudden their profile is gone. I don't know why this website does not post right from the beginning when you sign up that there is no video web chat. so beware, I have noticed that the same women contacted me again with a different profile. so beware. I am seriously thinking about deleting my profile and getting off this site. all the women I contact are scammers. from what my experience pof does not regulate its site. I suggest all of you do the same if all you get are scammers. BEWARE

If you did give them all your infos like pof account login and credit card, can they use thar knowledge to change your profile?
