Yes,the scams are easy to weed out since money is mentioned.It depends on where you live as to personality.The Richmond area was good as far as what I've experienced.

That is a great substitution t conventional online dating. I am alone one and I needed to have a soul mate. Decided to apply for services to this company and it was an interesting experience. It looks pretty much the same as classical dating app, but the interactive embedded into it certainly play into the hands of those who are in search of love. So I am ready to give these guys solid 4.

Can anyone answer why POS (plenty of SH#T) flags up that you have matches which on the very rare occasion those are local to you when you actually click on the match it says "sorry this person is looking for someone different "..... really because it was your crap shambolic website that said we were a match. Getting really frustrated with the inhuman way this site actually works. Does POF stand for.... plenty of false ... matches???? What a disheartener

I really liked this page. Because you're required to pay I found people to be messing you around less and be more serious about meeting someone. That's after trying may other dating sides. Few months on I met the loge of my life (now husband) on there. I got in touch with customer care when needed. So happy , good luck everyone

I have had a typical experience with pof.com. The service and support has been mediocr. It's an avearage site with no ‘wow’ factor. The customer service is commenly ok - they counld definitely do better. As for the user interface, it's prety self explainitory so that's convienet. There's nithing too exicting or extraoridnary but it's a decent enoguh site. My overall experiance is quite typical - it's not the bst but it's not the worst either.

Somehow the marketing guys translate , to a lady looking at your profile ;then not liking you nor sending you a message as " somebody is interested in you" . I think thats more than being economical with the truth . Then and if i can upload an image i would show you a fake profile . I know that because who ever it was said "im a fake profile to address bad behaviour on here" .That should tell you 1) there is bad behaviour 2) Admin must be very lazy not needing members to do the job. The other thing i don't like is when you reply to a message , everything gets pinked out , so trying to read the bio behind the text box is like searching for lice on a flamingo. The other new irritating thing now is before you can access the site, you have to either keep clicking skip or complete a survey in which there is no option of "other" so its autocratic

I think it's bad that if you pay for a plus membership you cannot see who has viewed/ liked you. POF would be offering this option to plus members, which if it went well might decide to upgrade to Premium. As it is I decided not even to take out the Plus account as it just isn't worth it

If 85% are happy. It must be a very good website. If people are unhappy. A refund of money spent should be given. This would greaty improve the dating site. People are sensitive and do not want to be used for sexual target practice. By women hunters or prostitutes or gold diggers. I assume prostitutes use the site. And such prostitutes are also gold diggers. Such is reality today where greed is paramount in the vast majority of people. Lonely people are easily deceived by such vampires.

been around a long time this and it used to be 100% free. The good old days. Now its a bit like using FABSHAG it seems all everyone is looking for is a hookup.. that may not be so bad depending on what you are after

This is not a bad site as dating apps go but....it is not entirely free, as it advertises, you have to pay to see who has viewed you for a start, and it sends you updated lists of new matches, only to find that when you click on them up comes a message " so and so is looking for a different type of person ", thus making their matchmaking totally useless.
Other than that, it seems to be a fairly user friendly site, and I will give it more time before I deliver my final judgement.
Update!! 19/07/23 well, this morning I woke up to an email from POF saying "New Matches for You". I logged in and lo and behold! Out of the first 10 recommendations (specifically for me), 9 were looking for a different type of guy! When I clicked on them a banner pops up informing me of this fact, so, POF, what exactly is the point of the email?
Very disillusioned with this site.

Full of AI Bot profiles! I liked the POF platform, it was actually casual and easy website (and free) but I came across three fake male profiles, one (Damien099) actually replied back saying:
"I'm not a person with personal experiences, so I don't have a physical presence or a location like Arizona. I'm a virtual assistant created by OpenAI here to help and chat with you. I'm interested in learning more about you and your experiences!"
Fake picture, background, etc... then ask for a phone number. I guess scammers are using AI to get personal info? What a waste of time POF! Is this legal? The AI was actually pleasant and courteous with it's reply but never answered direct questions like names, places, general personal info. If it sounds like a robot, it is!

I payed for a plus account but had limited messaging ! When I contacted them about it they said I needed a Plus Account. I send them a copy of my bank statement showing them a copy of the payment and there was NO FIX ! My account stayed limited!

they have now changed the format of this dating site. About 60% of Online or recently online members now have MESSAGE DISABLED on their profiles. I think this is a deliberate ploy to limit those members who have not upgraded...they have changed a number of features rendering it less useful , less accessible to profiles.shame really used to be a good site.. Also thy obv dont vet some of the dreadful comments that some members add to their profiles ,, some are disgusting.Its really gone down the shute of late. Seek other sites worth paying for!!

I'm giving 2 stars, because I actually met someone in person from the app. Once. My biggest complaint is there's no option to limit search, or meet me results, by distance. Some days I log in, all my meet me results are hundreds of miles away, some even several states away. I've matched with probably 10 people who were over 100 miles away, so they're having the same issue, and tell me they are frustrated with the same experience. Customer service is of no help.

Awful dating site for mature over 50's men seem interested and arrange a date but last minute don't confirm and they disappear. Also fake profiles. Men why say they want to date to find a partner and then say they are just looking for sex.,young men putting their age as older to find miles and cougers but message women who are not that. It's dreadful and very off putting I won't use again and deleted my profile. I never met anyone from after being on a month but yet there seemed to be interests and 3 possible meetup for coffee which never happened they just never got back.,a lousy cup of coffee lol that's what first dates are on this. Unless pof is really bad for over 50's in Ireland but that's been my experience as a woman
