Very poor refund policy, I was charged £115 for a year's service and then when cancelled shortly after I was told that because I did not process the refund within the 14 day time limit I could not get my money back. Shocking.

Tinder isn't an app I would ever recommend for dating but during Covid I thought why not feel a little less alone. My profile was banned after one day for either 2 reasons - they would not tell me why. I stated on my profile I wasn't currently meeting anyone due to the Global Pandemic OR I ran into a high school friend and gave him my phone number. They will not tell me why I was banned or what happens to my photos. This seems unethical to me. Not a big loss the attract less than desirable people anyways.

On the evening of Sept 31, 2020 I received a text msg on my cell phone from a person claiming to be a woman who claimed she got my info from "the dating site." The texts from this person went on to ask to send "her" the verification code Tinder would be sending me to verify to her I was the man from the tinder website and that I was real (and I fell for it)... Screenshot (attached to this review) of the 1st text that she sent me is now my profile picture. I had gone back and forth trying to reclaim my account for over 2 hours. And I tried calling tinder.com customer service. I tried online help to no avail. Please warn the public of this privacy breach. This person could not have had my cell and email information associated with signing into my tinder account unless tinder itself was breached as I have several email addresses and I have since learned that I am not the only one that this has happened to and has been attempted with.

Please help inform and warn tinder.com's customers of this obvious breach of customers private and personal information. I have submitted this story to other news media as I have little confidence just relying on 1 will help. Tinder.com has had a breach of their customers private account info i.e associated phone number(s) account sign in information and personal information!

Tinder does not provide any customer service while banning and deleting accounts whenever they want. I wonder if there is a bot doing it randomly. And don't bother trying to find the reason why your account is gone, they will not reply. Doesn't matter if you are a paid or free member.

In the present climate of (COVID 19), we are surrounded by, we may be looking to find that special someone. So if you have 90+ matches on Tinder... it might be a matter of time before you find that special connection. Well I have found... nothing, no help from the actual site, no matches that I had come across in the few times I have had to view.

As we all have a busy life planning for a better future mostly. Bottom line I think or feel, based on my own personal experience. My quality time has been wasted on this site. I still haven't met a match despite having more than 90 matches. So try if you fancy... my advice is ensure you have plenty of time... or money of course to pay a yearly subscription... Maybe that's why I haven't met anyone. Happy hunting. I'm now off to hopefully join a worthwhile dating service.

Why did I receive a notification that my profile/account will be hidden from view? Yes, I wasn't online for about 4 days. So, that is all it takes to hide a paying member? I don't have much incentive to go out there any more often than that, unless I get a message from someone who is more attentive or not looking for a hookup. As long as I am PAYING, I am ACTIVE.

I had an account for years and never met any females. They are all scammers or pros, all expecting to be paid. No one really looking for a relationship. I got tired of all the posts asking for $s or gifts from Amazon and responded once with a smart ** answer. For that I was banned for life with no opportunity to appeal, there is NO way to get help!!! Don't waste your time or $s!!!

I paid annual subscription and my account was banned stating I have violated terms and conditions. I asked if they can tell what terms and conditions I have violated, I was informed that they can not give me that information nor they will refund my annual subscription fee. I have heard the same stories by many other subscribers, Lesson learned is that never pay subscription.

Paid for membership with very little to no results and the people that were messaging me were scammers trying to send you to a link to steal your info. Don't waste your time or money here, you will be disappointed.

Started using Tinder this year. I would say up to 95% of the men on here are either married, engaged, living common law or in some form of a so called "committed" relationship. The few single men on there are also only looking for hook ups. A lot of online dating site junkies who are on at least 3 other sites are predators on Tinder too. How do I know? Easy, some junkies are so obsessed with being online that it doesn't take long to figure out they're also chatting with your single friends who are on other sites!! I dated one guy only to find he was begging a close friend who was on POF, of to go out with him too. He had no idea. If you want to find a nonsleazy relationship, stay away from Tinder. I'm sure there have been some success stories but I can't imagine it's that many.

Tinder author review by Mark Brooks

Tinder is a mobile dating app that can be downloaded and used for free. It is currently the largest and most popular dating app online with over 50 million downloads. It is best known for its extremely popular swiping feature.

      • Social Media Login: Tinder uses your Facebook profile as a means of sign up for their dating app. This helps prevent fraud and makes it easy to quickly import information and photos over to Tinder so you can begin searching immediately.

      • Swiping: Tinder's popular swiping feature allows members to quickly move through matches until they find people of interest. If you do not like the profile you are looking at, swipe left and you will not see them again. If you are interested, swipe right. If you accidentally swipe in the wrong direction, you can now pay to unswipe a match.

      • Consent before contact: While most dating sites will let users contact anyone in their membership ranks, Tinder will only allow you to contact someone if you have both "Swiped Right" on each other.

      • Quick local matching: Tinder is most popularly used as a way to meet people the same day within close proximity.
