This cottage is absolutely divine. It's obvious that the owners have done a great deal of work to update this immaculate cottage and ensure that your every need is taken care of. We visited Destin to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and had a small multi-generational vacation. This cottage was perfect. A few of our favorite things were the wraparound porch, outside shower, Weber grill, dual oven (cooking at two different temps at the same time!), the beautiful tile floor meant to look like hardwood, and the fully stocked kitchen (from a utensils/dishes/cooking and bakeware perspective). They even provided a pull behind beach cart to transport your cooler and beach items, and professional chair service (two chairs and one umbrella) were provided each day of our stay. Other great pluses include a quiet neighborhood with little traffic, easy 1.5 block walk to the beach, and a very well kept neighborhood pool three doors down from this home. The neighborhood is a mix of permanent residents and vacationers. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's also important to note that this neighborhood is located right off of Rt 98 but just east of the very commercial areas of Destin. So it's quiet, yet close to everything Destin has to offer. If you tire of the beach and you'd like to learn about the area, our family recommends the Armament Museum at Eglin Airforce Base (40 mins west), the Destin Fishing & History Museum (in town), and Eden Gardens State Park with its 1895 Antebellum home (40 mins northeast). We enjoyed eating at the Surf Hut, McGwire's, and Gilligan's (possibly the best deal in town with $13.99 all-you-can-eat catfish and shrimp. Right on the bay - don't be fooled by the outside!) We received great service from the property manager and our family is looking forward to returning to Destin and to this home.

Wonderful family vacation! Apr 12, 2015
This was our first time to Destin but won't be our last. The house was a perfect location and a short walk to the beach. The access to the beach was a great location with the use of the covered facility that had restrooms and somewhere to have a picnic without walking back to the house. The neighborhood was quiet and charming. It was very clean, we had no complaints. Kathy was wonderful to work with and met everyone of our needs and questions with quick response. The men went deep sea fishing with the company AJ's boat named New Florida girl and caught lots of fish and the local restaurant AJ's prepared our fresh catch with a meal that was awesome! We took the evening sailboat dolphin tour with AJ's that was a wonderful experience. We saw over 20 dolphins. We didn't want our week to come to an end. We also did some shopping at Banana Bart's local shop and got some great gifts. We also visited Pensacola and saw the Blue Angels that was well worth the trip, if anyone gets the chance it's a lifetime experience and it's free.

CUTE, COMFORTABLE & ROOMY Our 3 bedroom/ 2 bath cottage has a King bed in the master, a queen bed in the first guest bedroom and a twin beds in the other guest bedroom. We also have a queen sleeper sofa for additional guest. We have plenty of storage space so you won't feel cramped...we regularly visit our cottage, so we want it to be nice for ourselves too. :)
FREE Wi-Fi INTERNET for those of you who can't truly get away! We also have a 60" flat screen tv in the living room as well as 32" flat screens in each of the bedrooms.
The floor throughout the cottage has ceramic tile that looks like hard wood! It is amazing! New (Dec 2013) living room furnishings as well! The sofa sleeper features an 6" mattress for extra comfort!
FULL KITCHEN equipped with all you need for at home dining...including a blender for smoothies or other icy treats. So plan to cook up your daily catch or pick up some fresh seafood at the market. The grocery store is minutes away.

WALKING TRAIL from our community to the beach road. All Along the beach road you will find the Bike/Jogging trail. You can't help but to WANT to go for long walks on the lovely palm tree-lined path.
VALUE: While we're not beachfront, our cottage is the next best thing because we are less then a 5 minute walk to the beach, and we are in a superb beach community while saving you $1000 or more what the beachfronts would charge.
This is the ideal place to pile on great beach memories!
Besides the fantastic beach at Crystal Beach ...
Enjoy water sports such as taking surf lessons or paddle boarding at All Aboard Surf School, which is right at your beach access point. The guys there are super friendly!
Plan a day for deep sea fishing, golf or head to Bass Pro Shop - it's like Christmas for the outdoorsman.
Go shopping at the Shoppes at Paradise Key and Destin Commons, which are about 2 mile away from the community. Silver Sands Outlet shopping is a short drive away.
Go to popular eating spots such as The Crab Trap, Beach Walk Cafe, and Camille's Sidewalk Cafe. Stroll on the trail to get to these eateries.
Squeeze in some fun at the Big Kahuna's Water and Adventure Park riding water slides or head to The Track for go-carts or playing a round of miniature golf.

What to do besides enjoy our wonderful beach...Should you wish to explore what the local area has to offer, you'll find an abundance of choices. Sidewalks line scenic 98 for walking, running or bike riding. We are a short drive or walk to the
Destin Commons, or a short drive to The Silver Sands mall to the West. Kenny D's, The Crab Trap, and Pompano Joe's are all within a short drive. We encourage you to leave menus of your favorite restaurants when you come.
For evening entertainment, Destin is known for some wonderfully upscale eateries, as well as your regular fare. Friendly night life and nearby state of the art movie theater.
The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a vacation in it’s own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores, including, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Lenox, Nike and Reebok - just to name a few.
