Trade officials said police harassment, fear of the virus, labour scarcity and shortage of trucks has blocked the movement of fish seed from Bengal to Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Fish feed production is also under stress as supply of raw materials is posing a problem as farmers are not being able to sell their commodities in mandis.
