Although POF is free, I paid the extra money so I could see who read my emails, as well as other benefits. I paid for 6-months. I immediately began corresponding with several women. Then I wasn't able to sign on anymore. I sent several emails telling POF of my issue but I never got a response back. I then googled "POF Complaints" and realized my account got hacked. I again wrote POF telling them my account got hacked and I wanted a refund. POF sends me a complete refund.

I was hacked on this sight by someone who change parts of my profile and deleted my photos. They signed me out and I couldn’t get back in. I was getting tons of responses from other members. I contacted PoF and was able to reset my password. I had to fix what she changed in my profile and reinsert my photos. I searched conversations she had with other members, found out her name and number and reported that to PoF. I think at this point she is not active in my account anymore.

When you don't go to bar or out anywhere to meet new people, online is the best way. But also be careful and have a plan before you meet someone. Have your best friend on standby in case things aren't going well. They can send you a text within 10 or 15 minutes and that can be your excuse for leaving. Always meet in a public place too. I have met a lot of very nice people and a few weird ones.

I have met great guys that were not in my area but became good friends for years. I wish we were able to meet but the expense of traveling, stopped us from meeting in person. I was able to talk on phone and video chat, we got to know each other well. I am still friends with these great guys. I know if circumstances changed I would probably been with one for years. I liked the fact I got to know them well and if we could have met it would have meant much more. I think it gave me a chance to meet men who just didn't want something from me but were truly interested in knowing me. I believe always friends first.

This is an old review but I’ll send it anyway. Back in early 2006 I started chatting with another POF member. We mostly kept it epistolary until five or six months later when we finally met face to face. We met at a Japanese restaurant, ate and talked until they closed. I must say we hit it off, later closed our POF accounts and got married in a Japanese park the following year. Today I can truly say we are still married going on eight years in a marvelous and wonderful relationship!

It’s a site for harboring scammers. Connecting with someone they’ll want to live chat and send an invite. You click on it. Give some info including a card number so they say to verify it's you. Your card is rejected but a day or two later there is a charge for 39.99 on your card. By the way the video chat never happens.

Ive been on POF for a few years, if you have nothing to do and want a pastime...pof is for you. If you are seriously looking for a date, girlfriend, wife...good luck.. Lol. Ive been on pof numerous 100's of hours searching for the one that may even come close to a match and still fishing. Women, in my experience are out for a free wine and dine and on first meet most (80%) want the dinner and drinks.. No walk in the park, no simple coffee and get to know each other.. My age group 48 to 55 has seriously flawed women imo... That's why they are on pof. 1 in 100 is actually attractive and good looking. Most are seriously damaged and have nothing positive to say, it seems they are still fighting with their x. Lol....on pof..!

Now admin or whoever has access to the pof profiles has a new thing that they want to CONFIRM YOUR ACCOUNT....via giving up your personal cell number... Lol. Ive been locked out of my pof account for over a month as they keep requesting my cell number to verify my account, basically holding your profile for ransom until you give out your PRIVATE PERSONAL INFORMATION.... Not impressed! Whoever has access to your pof account is playing with it, changing it, sending mutual matches when there is no way in hell I would date a women like that.. Im sure there are just as many guys out for....whatever and a poor representative of the modern single man so I'm not woman bashing just relating my experience. Sure glad it's free, never would I pay for such an experience to try and find a date.. If this is computer dating at its finest..we are all doomed to be single.. Lol.

I am a paying customer and haven’t been able to access my account for well over a month. Have sent several e-mails and only revived one response that basically said "Too busy right now to deal with your problems." Have e-mailed 20 plus times with no response. Haven’t met a single person in my area and paid for a year's subscription and haven’t been able to use it.

Ok I joined Plenty of Fish then getting real no responds. I bought 1 token by a prepaid gift card. Well then I notice money was going missing and then they were nickel and diming me 72 cents 1-23 times a day until there was no money left on it. I still have not been able to take care of it. Then I bought a 3 month membership. After a few days I canceled it and they gave me my money back but after that they started nickel and diming me there as well. I found out after over @200 later the bank phones me and lets me know that 72 cents 5 times a day, 10 bucks here and there so I had to close my acc up and open new acc at cibc.

So now I've decided that they owe me for all my troubles. I gave them a chance to fix the problem. Now I'm going to take them to court. No wonder why they are worth over 5 billoin dollars. Do you realise ladies dont pay and when you use tokens the girls get paid from that too. So guys if you ever joined pof I would check your account. If you would like to talk to me my name is steve **.

So just imagine you've paid 38 dollars for a 3 month service, which is pretty affordable right? Well there's a reason POF is compared to Tinder because I'm pretty sure the developers had a sit down and said, "How can we scam as many people as possible." I signed up for the 3 month and after a day found myself getting a bunch of likes and people wanting to meet me. Half of them were people way beyond my distance requirements and the other half were robots or call centers who set up scam profiles. So, I am not pleased. Note of advice: Never give out credit card information, ever. I wasn't willing to and avoided a scam. What you paid initially for the service should be enough.
