Leah S This film won't rank as one of my favorite. I probably enjoyed it more than I would have if Angela Lansbury hadn't been in it. I loved seeing her portray a young, coniving seductress. A superb performance, as usual. Such a far cry from JB Fletcher. I was caught off guard with the plot twist (didn't see that coming). The rest of the story became somewhat predictable, however. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review j F Enjoyable film, Burr was excellent but Lansbury was rather dry, not a passionate killer. Hard to believe. Nevertheless the story goes too fast and while the twist is quite clever, the cinematography seems a bit cheap or amateurish. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review ivy c This is a movie for people who like Psychological Thrillers and like old movies. It's not made like movies nowadays, it has a very different style. It certainly doesn't deserve the 35% it currently has. I would put at 75%-80%. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Imagine a lawyer introducing evidence during his closing argument and the opposing attorney or judge saying nothing. That's one of a number of implausible plot points in this crime drama. The directing is listless, but the performances by Raymond Burr and Angela Lansbury make the film worthy of a look.
