A veteran producer of premium and daring indies alongside mainstream fare, Gardner had a banner 2023, as two of her high-profile projects centering on sexual assault were Academy Award nominees: Ana de Armas’ “Blonde” and Sarah Polley’s “Women Talking,” the latter of which won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay. As the guardians of Brad Pitt’s production shop, Gardner and her partner Jeremy Kleiner continue to bring taste and chops. Despite work stoppages over labor strikes, they will deliver February’s upcoming Bob Marley biopic “One Love,” Bong Joon Ho’s Robert Pattinson vehicle “Mickey 17” and the anticipated sequel to “Beetlejuice,” which Winona Ryder is returning for. European studio Mediawan also took a majority stake in Plan B, bringing the company’s valuation to hundreds of millions of dollars.
