David A. (Arlen) Mozuch

   Of 2201 River View Dr. Stevens Point passed away early Monday morning February 22, 2021 at Whispering Pines Assisted Living Center in Plover.  Age 83 David was born April 6, 1937 in Stevens Point.

He was the son of the late Roman and Gertrude (Siebert) Mozuch. David attended schools in Stevens Point  graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1955, and also attended UW-Stevens Point.

David was drafted into the United States Army on October 18, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dave served as a SP4 with the HqCo USAGAR in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was honorably discharged on October 17, 1962 when he then transferred to the United States Army Reserves where he served four more years being discharged on October 17, 1966.

He married Dorothy “Dottie” Minta on December 31, 1983 in Stevens Point. She preceded him in death on March 9, 1989. He then married the former Dianne (Borski)  Adamski on August 20, 1994 in Stevens Point. His wife Dianne survives. David worked the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for over 37 years as a surveyor retiring in 1995.

In his retirement David enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling and playing golf. He was an avid packer and badger fan. He enjoyed his winters down in Florida, and he cherished spending time with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in David’s name will be established.

Survivors include his wife Dianne, his daughter Larea  Minta – Kieliszewski (Tom), her children; James Adamski, Rob Adamski and the late Lisa O’Keefe (David). Their grandchildren Amanda Minta, Stephanie (Clayton) Knutson and Ian O’Keefe and two great grandchildren; Traeton and Tegan Minta. Two son-in-law’s Todd Booth and David O’Keefe and two Brother in laws; Gordon Lutz and Sylvester Zywicki. Further survived by nieces and nephews; Richard (Marnie) Zywicki of Madison, Teri Lutz of Milwaukee, Tom (Mary) Lutz and Randy (Laurie) Lutz both of Stevens Point and Tim Lutz, Menomonie. Great newphew Carl Peterson U.S Army Stationed in California and  Great nieces Kimberly (Dan) Hintz of Stevens Point and Kelly (Ryan) Roettger of Madison.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Pam Booth and two sisters Margie Lutz and Kathleen Zywicki.

Funeral Services will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday March 4, 2021 at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Deacon Ray Hietzinger officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery at a later date.  Family and friends may visit from 3:00 P.M. Thursday evening until the time for services. Masks will be required at the funeral home and social distancing will be observed.   David was a factory worker, college student, army sergeant, hunter, fisherman surveyor and engineer specialist and a wonderful step-father for some very lucky people. Heartfelt thanks to Whispering Pines Assisted Living and Ascension Hospice for all their help and support.
