Basic breakfast in a nice hotel. Tough to see the River from the restaurant
-only one window has a view.
COVID safe, spread out nicely.
Coffee served in a to go styrofoam cup.
Grits were thick and mildly warm.
Good bacon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mialien M.Atlanta, GA07156Apr 21, 2019
Zero or negative stars! This is the 2nd Easter brunch this restaurant has hosted (I had to ask) and it should be the last time!
Carving station - the guy destroying the meat had no clue how to slice turkey or ham! And that's all that was served on the carving station.
Low country boil was advertised but nowhere to be found... you had to ask your server to bring it out. And when it was delivered it was less than mediocre, crabs are cold and limp, corn and sausage were all over cooked.
The remaining brunch food is not worth mentioning; although it's important to no everything tasteless.
Only because I needed to find something good to report, the mini chocolate cupcake was 3.5Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal E.Philadelphia, PA479155642Jul 14, 2018First to Review
I simply cannot understand the functionality of this restaurant.
So I walk in and wait to be seated, and wait some more. So much, I left to see if another place delivered breakfast to the hotel. I also wanted to see if the hotel had another restaurant! The answered were no, and no.
I walk back in and wait again. Now there are others in line too! One heavyset, blonde-haired employee looks and smiles, and keeps working! Then a dark haired, tall employee is serving a table.
With the place being 80% EMPTY, I walk over and ask if we just seat ourselves. The blonde haired employee says, "I am so sorry! I thought you were here for a takeout order." (Even if I was, a simple WELCOMING would have cleared that right up!)
I was seated at a table that services 8 people....I was alone . I order. I ask for a vegan, kale & fig salad from the lunch menu. When it comes, YOU GUESSED IT, it had cheese!
My waitress brought over my home fries and grits that were TASTELESS! This is a NO NO in southern dishes. Then, I waited for my waitress to bring condiments that took an additional 5 minutes of my food getting colder. Meanwhile, a family of 4 comes in, and I hear the waitress say, "You all can seat here but the table is still dirty." WHAT! It's EMPTY IN THIS JOINT and you all would do that!
I was done....Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rebecca M.Southside, Jacksonville, FL01May 21, 2019
We were there for The Mother's Day brunch and had an absolutely amazing experience.
The food was laid out well it was a fresh the servers were very prompt the host were all very friendly and accommodating.
The chefs and carvers were all very friendly and helpful and I told them we were going to make this a tradition because it was such a fantastic experience.
Even when I went to the manager and mentioned that it wasn't just me but my family members were feeling hot he found someone to adjust the temperature in the room, which probably was a relief for many people.
Thank you so much for one of the best Mother's Day experience ever.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom B.Jacksonville, FL3164Apr 26, 2019
