General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) may be Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) bio dad. Will this devoted daughter reveal a connection to her serial killer father?
Esme was certainly fascinated by Ryan during her visit to Spring Ridge on August 27.
While chatting with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), Esme seemed to have done extensive research on locked-in syndrome – though she tried to downplay it as info she learned from a film.
However, Esme later pretended to be completely in the dark on Ryan’s condition and quizzed Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) about it in front of him.
Ryan was cordial to Esme and seemed more than willing to speak with her at first.
It wasn’t until Esme suggested volunteering at the facility that Ryan flipped out and kept blinking for her to go.
Perhaps Ryan’s afraid that Esme will spoil his escape plan or something along those lines. Whatever the case, there has to be a reason why Esme is so interested in Ryan.
Esme confirmed she was adopted during the September 7 episode, so that brings the soapy setup for some shocking biological parents to be revealed.
Since Esme has obviously researched Ryan and wants to get close to him, could that mean she knows Ryan is her biological father?
Of course, Ryan may have no idea – especially if the woman who got pregnant by him didn’t fill him in. Even if Ryan knew, it’s not like he’d recognize Esme now anyway.
Ryan didn’t seem to realize he had any connection to Esme when they first met, but she might visit him again and reveal their true link.
It’s easy to imagine Esme scoring a moment alone with Ryan and revealing that she’s his daughter.
It would also explain why Esme’s so fixated on helping Spencer target Ava Jerome (Maura West) since Ava was an obsession of Ryan’s.
Maybe Esme admires Ryan’s sinister tendencies and wants to keep up his work for him while he’s locked up and locked in!
Regardless, we have to wonder if Esme even cares about Spencer or if she’s just using him because of this whole Ava situation.
There’s definitely more than meets the eye when it comes to Esme, especially now that GH fans have adoption confirmation.
Esme’s bio dad will hopefully be revealed eventually – and he just might be Ryan Chamberlain!
