Visited Philharmonie Luxembourg in mid-March 2023 to see the alluring and enchanting vocalist Somi. Her band is fantastic!

As part of a Discovery Night package, I went on a guided tour of the venue before the concert. It was interesting to learn facts about the building, its acoustics and see behind the scene activities on the night of a concert. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

A guided tour of Philharmonie Luxembourg is worth it.

Building on the moder area of the city. Nice architectural building to go and see once in Luxembourg. Behind it, it is possible to get into a nice walk with great city view that brings you to the below city.

It's a lovely building to come see, and a real contrast to all that you will have probably seen earlier in the day, in terms of age and style. Worth a visit.

Impressive building sitting alongside buildings in the European district. It hosts multiple concerts during the year. There wasn't anything on when we visited. It is across the road from multiple hotels and a small shopping centre. There is tram stop with the same name.

This is a concert hall situated in the EU Institutions area quarter. Many music performances take place every year (a few hundreds). The building's architecture is impressive too, standing on the main road, best viewed with lights in the evening.

We went to see the whole financial district, which really impressed us overall since it looked so big. This building topping it off, looking enormous and very neatly designed. I couldn’t even imagine how it would look at night. Worth the trip to the other side of the city to see the whole district it self, wouldn’t go for the sole purpose of visiting this building however.

Philharmonie Luxembourg in all it's beauty would have deserved to have been built on top of a mountain, to be seen from far away.

At a first glance its more than 800 white columns somehow look like the strings of an exotic instrument which makes the building a true house of music.

When you walk around the elliptical foyer and are so lucky to have a clear sky and the sun shining into the foyer from the south you are blessed with the most wonderful shadow-play created by the shadows of the offset columns which surround the foyer in rows of 2 and 3.

Walking up the ramp inside the foyer reveals impressive seemingly insurmountable ravines, reminiscent of Vauban's architecture which gave Luxembourg-city some of it's characteristic looks.

The acoustic inside is absolutely fabulous.

Christian de Portzemparc has really placed a true gem among buildings that do make it stand out, not only because of it pure White color or because of its it's atypical shape but due to their "functional, sterile contemporary ugliness".

Do not miss this beauty when in Luxembourg.

Philharmonie is a "young" music hall, built only a decade ago. The sound quality is remarkable, and the visibility of the stage and the comfort for spectators are excellent. The overall architecture is interesting, and the space for talking during the intervals is adequate but could have more sitting space. One additional issue is great parking at an affordable price.
