Harry Brant, Son of Supermodel Stephanie Seymour, Dies at 24: Remembering His Life in Pictures

Born in 1996, Harry was the son of legendary '90s supermodel Stephanie Seymour and high-profile businessman Peter Brant (who owns White Birch Paper and Brant Publications, which houses Interview magazine and several art titles).

Harry was raised in Greenwich, Connecticut alongside his brother Peter Brant II, 27, and sister Lily Margaret Brant, 16.

The late socialite also had a half-brother (Dylan Thomas Andrews) whom Seymour had with guitarist Tommy Andrews, and four half siblings from his father's first marriage to Sandra Simms Brant.

The prominent socialite showcased his androgynous style at fashion shows, night clubs and red-carpet events around the world. During an interview with W Magazine in 2016, Harry said, "The gender lines are starting to blur again, which is really, really great."

He continued: "People are starting to be more celebrated for their creativity. And I really think that once you leave high school, you realize that being normal is something that people want to shy away from, and the more true you are to yourself and the more individual you are, the more people are inherently attracted to you."

Harry followed in his mother's footsteps, appearing in Italian Vogue, Givenchy campaigns, on Balmain's runway and more. Despite his impressive resume, Harry told Vogue in 2015 that modeling "was never a childhood dream."

"It was something my mom used to do, and I admired her doing it so much," he continued. "It wasn't until I started getting high fashion campaign offers when I was 14 and my parents wouldn't let me do them!"

The model and his brother Peter (photographed here at a Nicole Miller show in 2014) were also Fashion Week regulars and often watched the most anticipated events of the season from the front row.

"We're, like, a very aesthetic family," Peter told Vanity Fair in 2012. Harry added, "I spend, like, hours talking with [my parents] in their little master-bedroom area."

In 2014, Harry and his brother collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on a line of gender-neutral makeup and skin care called MAC Brant Brothers.

"It all kind of started with our relationship with people at [Estée] Lauder and MAC. My mom works for Estée and she's close with a number of executives there," Peter told W Magazine at the time. "We just met them out, and we'd always talked about getting together and doing a collaboration. It was really [Lauder Executive Group President ] John Demsey's idea. He talked to us about it and we've been working on it now for several years with them. And we're so happy that its come together. It's so amazing."

"I first started to play with makeup by definitely going into mom's and I started stealing her products because makeup is really expensive and I didn't really have access to it when I was younger," Harry told W Magazine in 2014. "My little sister has just started doing that to me, which I find a pain because it's really, really frustrating! But I kind of encourage it because she's really makeup obsessed, which I think is adorable. So, next generation."

The socialite was friends with celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Bella Thorne, Bella Hadid and Joan Smalls. He often posted photos of lavish nights out with young Hollywood's coolest it-girls on his Instagram account.

Harry and Peter were also often spotted out and about with notorious party girls like Courtney Love and Michelle Harper during their teenage years. "She's the only one who's awake when I am," then-15-year-old Harry told Vanity Fair of his friendship with Love in 2012.

The budding socialite died Sunday of an accidental overdose, his family said in a statement to the New York Times.

"We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease," his family said in a statement to the outlet. "He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done."

Harry had reportedly struggled with addiction for several years.

"Harry was not just our son," the family's statement continued, going on to describe him as "a wonderful brother, loving grandson, favorite uncle and a caring friend."

"He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light into so many people's hearts," the statement said. "He was truly a beautiful person inside and out."
