First time visit and we were not impressed. Had high expectations but it was so noisy inside and crowded that we couldn’t hear. The menu was ambitious but food was just OK. Went because a friend told me they had a frozen Old fashioned but it was no longer on the menu :( It’s probably OK for people staying there but not worth a destination visit

Impressed with management stopping by and head chef to confirm all was well received. Both treated us with great care. With no need to make us any happier, they gave us a free lime pie and talked about vegetation growing on property. Well done!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here. The waitstaff were very friendly and courteous. The chef came out and asked us how the food was and if we were enjoying our day. The food was excellent. Cooked to perfection and decent portions. We will definitely be back soon!

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with both inside and outdoor dining. The resort has been very tastefully done. We chose inside because it was too hot outside. All four of us were underwhelmed by the menu. We came for lunch but found that the menu leaned more towards brunch dishes (eggs, waffles, French toast) than lunch items. It was not a menu typical of Tommy Bahama’s restaurants. There was only one salad - Caesar with optional protein. The Caesar salad was underdressed although there were plenty of huge grilled shrimp. The halibut tacos were pretty good but came with just additional tortilla chips. The Eggs Benedict was not good. Dry chewy pea bacon, overcooked eggs, and too thick sauce, with a plain arugula salad on the side. All the items were quite high priced. Lunch for two with one glass of basic wine was $75.

Slow service, requested separately checks, didn’t happen. Ask for iced tea refills, took 10 minutes, Frittata was bland and looked more like scrambled eggs. The sourdough toast was burnt.

No hostess at the front but in the main lobby... Not overwhelmed by their friendliness but our server was excellent… we both ordered salads with add on protein and both of our pieces of chicken were dry and tasteless…very loud

We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is very pretty but it is extremely noisy. We ordered and it took over an hour to get our food. While we were waiting, every other table for their food and the servers/staff kept telling us the kitchen was behind because they were also servicing the pool and bar. They were brought us some chips and guacamole as a hold over. When our food finally came, it was cold and frankly not that good. This made it seem like they had made our food a long time before they brought it and there was no reason for it to have been so delayed. In the end, they comped our meal but we will not be returning.

The restaurant was lovely. We had a Friday night 730 reservation. A wedding party had been in the bar and was working its way to event space next to restaurant. This party had a DJ. going as well etc. The restaurant with its beautiful outside space had a guitarist that got louder and louder and between the DJ and guitarist- it was too much. It forced people to want to go eat inside. And we saw it happen. My advice is that if you have a party with a DJ going on — skip the guitarist. The food was yummy and plentiful. We had the chicken, short rib and seafood stew. Burrata was lovely as was little gem caesar and we finished with lava cake. Nice cocktails too. Great great servers who were really in top of things! We will come back. Please assess the noise situation. People want a beautiful outside experience. Don’t ruin it with loud competing music. We will return!!!!

Very disappointing. The noisiest dining room I can recall. Our party of 4 were forced to pick up our drinks and seek seating in the bar…just a little less noisy. Wait staff was very understanding and did their best. My entree was cioppino. It had a nicely spiced tomato broth but , for 45+ dollars contained 2 shrimp, 1 scallop, 4 tiny clams and a fish stick sized piece of whitefish. Tommy would be disappointed in the establishment bearing his name. I’m unlikely to return!

Food was interesting and different but inside table was too loud. Tables are big so two people are pretty far apart. Server was very attentive. Wouldn’t mind trying to be outdoors. Parking not the greatest.

Excellent service and the manager came over to our table twice to make sure we were having an excellent time and we had a birthday and they gave us a wonderful lemon meringue dessert that we all split. They had music outside and it was a beautiful evening. We would definitely go back again and again.

We’ve eaten here twice before and the service was impressive. Both times we had an early reservation at 5:00 or 5:30. I don’t know if that’s the reason or not. They were a bit busier on this night than those two nights but not to capacity. The menu is small. Not many selections so we will wait awhile before we go back. Would be nice to have another green salad on the menu. Caesar is the only one.

We have had brunch here two different times. Although the ambiance and service was good…..we waited well over 80 minutes for our food to arrive. This happened both times we were there. Service and management were apologetic in saying the kitchen was overloaded with restaurant and poolside orders and they were quick to give us a discount and some free drinks to accommodate us. After the first time that happened we wanted to give them a second chance. Unfortunately, with this happening a second time, we won’t be back.

This is the first time trying new restaurant for brunch. It was extremely disappointing the service by Rosa was very inattentive. Took forever to get our food. One order wrong second one chicken so dry inedible. No condiments no refills, had to ask multiple times still no.luck. Had to get manager to try fixing all issue, it helped some. Very poor overall for a new restaurant. Never again.

The restaurant decor is attractive but minimal. The acoustics and noise level are terrible. The service, both by the restaurant staff and the valet/cart staff was great…friendly and professional. And, the food was great. My friend had the halibut, which is not one of my favorite fishes, but it was delicious. I had the short rib on polenta and it was extremely flavorful. I recommend, but maybe sit outside so you dont have to yell at your dinner mates.

Beautiful setting and very helpful staff. We walked from the nearby neighborhood and were greeted by everyone. We had a grapefruit martini in the bar area and had great service. We ate dinner and the service and food were excellent!! After dinner we walked around outside, the was live music and a wonderful atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Ate under dimly lit olive trees on the restaurant's patio. Limited menu but good options. Had appetizers including a delicious crabcake. Food is very good. Pricy but not expensive. Service is prompt and professional. Surprised they had a guitar player on a Monday night. Nice. Some people might not like the gravel dirt surface or metal chairs with no pads.

We ate dinner here our first night at the resort and enjoyed it so much, we came back for brunch. Our server was new but knowledgeable and helpful. He warned us that the lobster chowder (a highlight!) was a little spicy which we appreciated. We also had the focaccia, asparagus (very tasty for a simple veggie), and short rib (delicious). At brunch we loved the lobster frittata. Great ambiance indoors and outdoors and much better than most hotel food in our opinions.

We visited during weekend 2 of Coachella for brunch and had a great time. The weather perfectly warm when we stopped by and the restaurant has that gorgeous indoor outdoor ambiance with the doors open. Food is on the pricier side for dinner but slightly more reasonable for brunch. Over it’s worth it as food is tasty and fresh. Both eggs benedict were delicious—nicely portioned and with soft, satisfyingly chewy English muffins. The arugula salad could have used a bit more acid like a squeeze of lemon juice. Burrata was nice and fresh and again generously portioned for 2-4 people. Side of potatoes were perfectly crisped. I’m not a sweet drink person but the pog-like mimosa was good, albeit a bit too close to room temp for my liking. Opted for plain sparkling for our 2nd round. Would revisit if I’m in the area again.

We had a 7:30 reservation and was told the table(outside) would be late as they people before us just got their food. Ok fine. Went to bar area and it took 25 mins to get our drinks. Table was ready at 8:30. We ordered appetizers right away as we were starving and that took another 25 mins. Mind you the place was not busy at this point. The appetizers were good. When we ordered our main dishes we took the server’s recommendation. I had spaghetti squash which had a tablespoon of spaghetti squash in it and a ton of filler that didn’t even fill the bowl. We all know how much spaghetti squash you get from one squash and this place gets 20 dishes from one squash I’m sure. Then arriving 5 mins later was my husbands fish dish. It was small but tasty. The food all arrived at different times. Very odd and again there was barely anyone in the restaurant at this time. The chicken was the best dish and the portion was great too. When all was done we tried to order Cappuccinos and that was a disaster. Nobody knew how to make one and when it did arrive it was cold as can be and not a cappuccino. Thank goodness we all could laugh and we had a busboy that couldn’t have been more delightful to take our mind off of the problems around us. I think they are still working out problems and the service was just ok. The servers were nice but getting what you ordered you need patience. The decor was beautiful and they had live music outside which was nice as well. It will be awhile before I’d go back to be honest.

We enjoyed our time spent dining with an old friend at the Grapefruit Basil restaurant. The ambience was amazing and the service was very good. We were not rushed, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious and we received some great hospitality from the entire staff.

We have dined here about 6 times in the last 4 months.. it has sadly gone done hill every time… the food is good, the ambience is nice, the wait staff friendly…., but the delivery of drink and food is annoyingly slow.. this last time, we ordered wine to be served with our dinner… we asked repeatedly for our wine… it finally arrived at the end of our meal… they took the wine off the bill … we would have preferred the wine with our dinner!! Our observation is that there is no active manager overseeing the staff.., what a shame!! An easy fix … we won’t be returning !🥹
