‘I’m concerned’... Pep Guardiola says he is really worried about ‘incredible’ player Chelsea sold last summer

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has now stated that he is worried about coming up against one former Chelsea player this weekend.

He named the former Blue directly in his pre-match press conference ahead of their huge Premier League match this weekend, with the title race hotting up.

Hudson-Odoi having fine individual season

A number of these were part of the Chelsea side who won the Champions League in 2021, with one of those being winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The England international has hard arguably his best individual season in the Premier League this season since making the move to Nottingham Forest, after things just didn’t work out in West London.

He has five Premier League goals to his name this season, and has often been the shining light in a Forest side that are struggling at the bottom end of the table.

They will be welcoming City this weekend, with a result being key to them perhaps staying in the top flight.

Pep Guardiola says he is scared of Callum Hudson-Odoi

Guardiola has mentioned Hudson-Odoi as an individual he is concerned about when it comes to that match this weekend.

He said: “Always the atmosphere is unbelievable [at Nottingham Forest]. Maybe extra in a relegation battle… But what I’m concerned is Hudson-Odoi, their strikers, weapons. We’re used to these environments and we’re going to try. They’re going to use their home ground, home people…”

Some of the current first team stars at Stamford Bridge are more than privy to his talents, with Conor Gallagher previously describing him as ‘incredible’.

Chelsea actually underwent a large amount of changes in the wide attacking areas over the summer, with Christian Pulisic moving on permanently and Hakim Ziyech making a switch on loan.

They are still waiting to see the best from the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, however there is a lot of promise over what they can deliver when given regular gametime.
