Matthew 18:19-20 "Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree or earth about anything you ask..."

"Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them" (Matthew 18:19-20).

Comment:

Since each one of us is fully the Christ—in potential if not in expression—one might wonder why it takes two or more to achieve effective prayer, as this passage seems to suggest. I think there are essentially two truths expressing here.   We are all one in the Christ—the Christ Presence expresses fully in each of us, but we are not individual and separate "Christs." There is only one Christ, the creative expression of the Allness of God, common to us all. When we join together—even with one other person—we are more easily able to recognize, feel, claim and express the Christ energy that is common to us all. It's not that there is 'more Christ' when we join together—every expression of the Christ is infinite—but that there is less resistance, less individuation.   And I think there's a second promise here as well. The easiest way to believe in, access and express the Christ is by embracing the example of Jesus Christ. Believing in the Christ Presence in Jesus is not enough—we have to recognize it in ourselves as well. But it's a powerful first step. It cuts through a lot of resistance. So when we gather together and remind ourselves of the example and promise of Jesus Christ, we can most easily bring the healing, prospering Christ Power to bear on any challenge.   Blessings!
