We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.

Be kind and courteous
We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Don't make inflammatory comments. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed. Degrading comments about race, religion, culture, politics, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

List your home on our website before posting
In order to exchange with our community, you must first list your home on our website www.peoplelikeus.world. List your home and activate it, then you may post in our group.

Homes are not to be advertised for rental
People Like Us is a site for home exchange only. Rental homes are permitted if they are offered for exchange and rental is not mentioned. Links to rental sites such as Airbnb are not permitted.

Home exchanges are done on the PLU website
You must list your home on our website, www.peoplelikeus.world, and use the link or listing number in the group. No exchanges are permitted off the website. You must be an active member of the website to post about your home.

No promotion of other networks or listings on them
People Like Us home exchange is a place for promotion of listings on the People Like Us home exchange site. Links to listings on other networks are not permitted, nor are promotion of those networks.

No complaints or promotions about other networks
Neither positive nor negative posts about other networks are permitted.

If you post needing help with a cancellation:
1. If it was *not* a PLU exchange, the post must say so.
2. You must be a PLU Premium member.
3. No negative comments about the cancelling host whether or not it was on PLU.

No shaming posts
Negative posts about an exchanger or an exchange are not permitted, whether or not the exchange is on PLU. The person concerned may also be present in the group.

No commercial or self-promotional posts
Don't promote products, services or anything else. Occasionally we have posts to "blow your trumpet" but, otherwise, this is a commercial-free zone.

No pseudoscience or conspiracy theories
Fact-check your information and post links from reliable sources. Misinformation and conspiracy theories will be deleted immediately. It is dangerous, potentially life-threatening, and harms our Face
