• Avengers: Endgame actor Paul Rudd has been married to his wife, Julie Yaeger Rudd, since 2003.
  • Julie is a publicist-turned-screenwriter, best known for working on comedy Fun Mom Dinner with her husband.
  • Paul and Julie have two kids together, son Jack Sullivan and daughter Darby.

Ever since Avengers: Endgame star Paul Rudd's 50th birthday on April 6, the internet has been abuzz about his seeming agelessness. After all, he looks practically the same as he did when we first fell majorly, totally, butt-crazy in love with him as Josh in Clueless (which came out nearly 25 years ago, FYI).

But heads up, googly-eyed fans: Paul is already off the market, and he has been since 1995. Here we take a look back at his 24-year love story with his wife, screenwriter Julie Yaeger Rudd.

The early days

Shortly after Paul's breakout role in Clueless shot him into the spotlight, the actor (who was just in his early 20s at the time) decided to move to New York City and get himself a publicist, Luke Crissell reported in a 2011 story for Nylon Guys. Already late for an audition, Paul went straight to his new publicist's office upon arriving in the city — and that's where he met his wife-to-be.

Julie, who worked in the office at the time, offered to take Paul's luggage to a friend's apartment so he could make his audition. A few days later, Paul asked her if she'd like to get lunch with him ... and the rest was history.

Starting a family

The notoriously private couple officially tied the knot in 2003, after eight years of dating. By this time, Julie and Paul (who was in the midst of his recurring role as Mike Hannigan on Friends) had officially made a home for themselves in New York and appeared on the red carpet together for years.

As the years passed and Paul's career continued to flourish, the couple welcomed two children: son Jack Sullivan in 2004, and daughter Darby in 2009. Paul and Julie generally keep their kids out of the public eye, but the whole family did step out together in 2015, when Paul received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Working together

Over time, Julie has shifted her work from publicity to screenwriting. In 2017, she combined forces with Paul for her comedy Fun Mom Dinner, which stars such big names as Molly Shannon and Toni Collette: Julie wrote the screenplay for the film, while Paul produced and starred in it.

(Fun fact: Paul and Julie's real-life marriage has also served as the inspiration for some of the funniest moments in his other movies. In a 2012 interview with Jewish Journal, the actor revealed that writer and producer Judd Apatow had asked him and his wife to record some of their conversations — real and improvised — to help inform different scenes in This Is 40 and Knocked Up.)

Keeping things private

Now, after navigating all of these life changes, Paul and Julie are coming up on a milestone anniversary: 25 years together. So, even though we don't hear much about their family or their relationship, it seems safe to say that whatever they're doing ... it's working.

Or, perhaps it's just as Paul put it in a 2011 interview with Elle: "I don't think I'm going to sell a lot of tabloids. My wife and I have been together for 16 years."

Either way, here's wishing these two many more happy years to come.
