Augsburg Outstanding Senior Athlete, Raymond was a four year letter winner in basketball and baseball. He was part of the Auggie men’s basketball team that was MIAC Champions and advanced to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament in 1963. He was Co-MVP in the MIAC in 1963, captain in basketball his senior year and earned All-MIAC honors in his senior and junior seasons. Graduating with a double major in mathematics and physical education, Raymond coached and taught math at Minneapolis Southwest and Fairmont High Schools for six years. He spent four years coaching basketball and golf along with teaching at Augsburg, had eleven years of coaching basketball and teaching at Minnesota St. Cloud State University, seven years serving as Director of Athletics at Southwest Minnesota State University. Currently he is Commissioner of Northern Sun Intercollegiate University and has been since 2004. Raymond has been elected into the Hallo of Fame at Jasper High School, Minnesota State University Mankato, St. Cloud State University, and North Central Conference. Raymond and his wife Linnea have five children; Tracy, Suzy Brad, Derik, and Britt and twelve grandchildren.
