Renowned Cornish potter and artist Paul Jackson has designed the limited edition jute shopping bag for the 2021 Cornwall Christmas Fair.

The popular event which traditionally kicks off the Cornish festive season is taking place at the Eden Project near St Austell, Cornwall, on Thursday, November 11, with a preview and shopping evening the day before.

The bag will be exclusively available at the fair in return for a £5 donation to the Cornwall Community Foundation.

Ian Lillicrap, director of sponsors Lillicrap Chilcott, said: “We are so pleased to see the Cornwall Christmas Fair return after a year’s absence and are delighted with Paul’s stunning design for our bag.

“Paul has been involved with the Fair since it was first held in the home of the founder, Lady Mary Holborow, back in 1991. We are so grateful both for his support over the years and for designing our 2021 limited edition bag. It is a very appropriate celebratory marker of this particularly special event as we start to move out of the pandemic.”

Paul Jackson added: “Cornwall Community Foundation has provided such vital support across Cornwall over the course of the pandemic and funds will be in even more demand as our communities rebuild.”

Tickets will only be available for purchase in advance; there will be no sales on the door.
