Character actress appeared in countless film/TV projects. Pat Brown began her screen acting career in her mid-60s, after retiring after long career as an English teacher at Carson High School (Carson, CA). She soon was cast on dozens of television series in elderly roles, even returning in recurring roles in series like "Coach", "Gilmore Girls", "Desperate Housewives", and daytime soap "Days of Our Lives". She also appeared in many feature films like "Sister Act" (1992), its sequel the following year, "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" (1997), and "Norbit" (2007) as town florist 'Mrs. Henderson', among others.

Pat Crawford Brown was the daughter of NY district Judge Thomas J. Crawford and wife Charlotte., and in 1961 married husband Calvin Burdell Brown, who passed away in 1976. The union produced a daughter Charlotte (named after her maternal grandmother). Pat Crawford Brown passed away July 2, 2019, just 3 days after her 90th birthday, survived by daughter Charlotte Brown Swanson, three grandsons Timothy, Nicholas, and Daniel, as well as six great-grandchildren. She was also survived by two sisters Anne and Mary.
