Synopsis

In Florida, 2011, Jolyne Kuujou sits in a jail cell like her father Joutarou once did; yet this situation is not of her own choice. Framed for a crime she didn't commit, and manipulated into serving a longer sentence, Jolyne is ready to resign to a dire fate as a prisoner of Green Dolphin Street Jail. Though all hope seems lost, a gift from Joutarou ends up awakening her latent abilities, manifesting into her Stand, Stone Free. Now armed with the power to change her fate, Jolyne sets out to find an escape from the stone ocean that holds her.

However, Jolyne soon discovers that her incarceration is merely a small part of a grand plot: one that not only takes aim at her family, but has additional far-reaching consequences. What's more, the mastermind is lurking within the very same prison, and is under the protection of a lineup of menacing Stand users. Finding unlikely allies to help her cause, Jolyne sets course to stop their plot, clear her name, and take back her life.

Women in prison. Ok, got your attention.

Featuring one of the most ridiculously tense and violent games of catch-ball ever, Stone Ocean is even better than part 5 of the JoJo saga. If Golden Wind was the zenith of the JoJo franchise, then Stone Ocean is the apex. Ok, they both mean the same thing but you get the idea.

Starring the daughter of the stoic, bland, yet incredibly powerful Jotaro, the story has jumped a few years to 2011, Florida, USA. Jolyne is in a 'pinch' as the Japanese love to say. She's on her way to a sprawling prison complex ...

Mixed Feelings
I wasn't a fan of part 5, so i was hoping that this part would be better, especially because of the fact that the prison setting sounds really refreshing for jojo, but unfortunately, for me, this is the worst part so far.

The story flows quite well and the ending, while being weird, was really unique and kinda satisfying, but of course i'm talking about the story and not the last fight, the last fight was average and boring, just like the last fight in part 5. that's the problem - This part has the worst fights in any part. at least in part 5, for ...

As a fan of jojo, part 6 was a major disapointment to me, the main characther and the sidekicks are straight up worse versions of the stardust crusaders. The concept of being in a prison is well handled, but Father Pucci just tries too hard to be a good villain, and ends up being a bad dio (Funny, huh?).
There's just so much bullshit on certain chapters, and althou Jojo is known for a lot of bullshit things, part 6 takes it to an ungodly amount of protagonism, ex machinas, plot convenience and others.
The ending was rushed, and it shows, Pucci had so much more potential ...
