I have been a Panda Animal Clinic client for 8 years now. The front desk girls are great, the prices are reasonable. I am only giving this establishment three stars for a couple of reasons. I recently went in and the vet technician ( the man that holds the dog while the vet does her thing) was either still learning or got nervous because he is new and let my dog bleed after his injections. He noticed that after the vet injected him he didn't hold down the site and my dog got blood all over his fur and on the table. He let the vet know and the vet tells him "you're not listening or paying attention. You're supposed to hold it down after I inject." The vet and the technician are speaking low as if I couldn't hear them. The vet tech, has at this point, moved to cover how much blood had come out from my view and the vet proceeds to clean my dog. She then tells me "I must have hit an artery when I injected him." Umm... why is this a problem? 1. It is unprofessional to have someone so new and clearly not ready to be on the floor handling peoples animals. These are like our children and little mistakes like this could end up costing an animals life or cost us more money down the line. 2. I do not want a DR. that has trouble doing something as simple as give an injection. My dog is 8 already and I'd like to be going to a place with a DR. that can save my dog's life and make the best decisions possible. I lost that trust when the DR told me she hit an artery. Once the DR left and its just me and the VET TECH more blood comes out. I asked him for a napkin and he gives me a dry brown napkin that I can clearly do nothing with. I asked him to wet it because I was already upset and cleaned the blood off my dog myself.
I kept thinking about it and decided I needed my dog's medical records in case I decided to switch to another vet. I had my friend call in to request the records because I was at work. I get a call shortly after my friend calls and it sounded like the vet herself. She asks me if I was mad at her. I said no. She then asks "then why do you want his medical records?" This whole phone call was unprofessional. I said "I just want to have them." She goes on to tell me that the girl that called said I was leaving and that the girl that called didn't specify which records I wanted. She wanted to make it clear that they knew I wasn't the one that called. I then called my friend and asked her what happened and she told me she specified she wanted my dogs records in full and that they were lying to me. I still don't know if I will return. The fact that I researched this place and they have such mixed reviews is also a little unsettling.
If you want to visit this vet for minimal things, such as kennel cough or light grooming I don't see a problem with it. BUT if you are a person with a dog that is 8 or above and want the best care (since dogs start getting more sensitive the older they get) I'd go somewhere else.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kandy E.North Miami, FL91Mar 7, 2024Updated review
So here we are again. So two weeks after I took my dog to the clinic they decided to call. After TWO WEEKS and no they didn't call to see how my dog is doing or anything. They called because they saw the review I left. Mind you if I didn't write the review you think they would have called? Absolutely not. So again a pointless call that still didn't solve anything. At the end of the day the one who hurts from this is my dog because she is sick and didn't get her dewormer. As I said in my previous review this is the WORST experience I have had. I will NOT recommend this to anyone! I got charged for a medicine for my dog that I didn't even receive. Again DONT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 5, 2024Previous reviewmy mom took our dog to this clinic. She had to leave the dog So they can shower her. They didn't brush her teeth . later I went to pick her up and the lady from the back came out and gave me a small bag that only had three items. a pill, a white box. And a medicine for her ears. The girl from the front desk told me they couldn't give her the deworm because of her weight. I said ok and left. they next day the clinic called for a update on the dog status. Lady on phone said for us to give her the deworm and as we explained we never received it. at first the lady said oh we didn't charge you for it. And than she put me on hold and when she came back to the phone she said oh yea we charged you for it but we gave it to you in the bag. As I explained it was not there. After 15mins of going back and fourth they pretty much said there was nothing they can do and I would have to pay again for it. this is the worst experience I have ever had. I will not be going back!!!!

If I was able to leave a negative 1 star I would. horrible clinic they charge you for things you don't need and then want to force vaccinations on your animal that are not necessary just to get the most money from you the doctor reported me just simply cause I did not want to do services with them cause I went for my dog to get her rabies shot and a cut they wanted to put a bunch of unnecessary things on the bill that ended up being a big some of money and then the doctor proceeded to accuse me of animal abuse when I very much love animals and love my dog all doe to her having a few nots on her hair.overall bad experience this place should me closed for being rude and for up charging on things and forcing you to do it if not they won't be able to attend your animal down big time scammers

THESE PEOPLE KILLED MY PET! stay far away from this place. I went in for a check up and some x rays and blood work. After about an hour they bring my cat back out and he is still sedated from some medication. the Doctor quickly tells me take a look hes breathing but he's still a little woozy. I asked, why is he breathing so heavy. she said it was normal. I said it doesn't look normal. she suggested that I take him to an emergency hospital to have him taken care of overnight. The hospital was 17 mins away. my cat died on the way to the emergency room and he was perfectly fine when I took him there. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL KILL UR ANIMAL. THE STAFF IS SUPER RUDE ON TOP OF IT ALL AND NO 1 speaks English. Not even the DR. thank god I speak Spanish. I been going here for over 20 years. they recently changed owners and they clearly don't know what they are doing. I am devastated. we did CPR , IVs, compressions. nothing brought my baby back :(
STAY AWAY FROM HERE IF YOU LOVE UR PET :(Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer G.Hialeah, FL05Oct 9, 2023
Stay very FAR AWAY from this place , I went for the yearly rabies shots and the state tag I also went to get my dog groomed. She usually gets groomed with them. Supposedly they always recommend to do it under anesthesia due to the fact that she gets knots, not only gave her a bunch of shots, but they decided to get her blood, tested and do a fecal exam for no reason, after that they wanted to do the grooming and they told me that without the gummy's for the ticks and fleas that I was not going to be able to get her groom that that was mandatory I give my dog next guard, so those were not necessary anymore I tried to explain that they should just take it off because I have my own prevention at home being insisted. It was mandatory after they saw it. I did not want to do it anymore. Then they said that I could take it off at this point I felt like they were being dishonest, and that they have been lying to me and God knows what other things they told me that have been mandatory that are really not. After that they wanted to charge me $400 to get my dog groomed and supposedly they said that she had an infection in her private part, I went ahead and said I couldn't afford $400 that they were charging me to get my dog groomed when with the previous owners I would get it for $114 and they were charging me an extra $360 for the yearly check up I ended up telling them they needed to take the things off that I do not need because I only went there for one thing only and they can't force me to get the rest of the things that I can't afford and it ended up around $200 yearly vaccines Humane Society does it for 50 bucks I just didn't take it there because I was supposed to get her groomed here that even with the previous owners they said she needed anesthesia when the doctor saw that I declined to all that he proceeded to say that my dog could be reported for animal abuse and that I could be given a ticket for that. Keep in mind I give my dog grooming every month, but she is a very active dog and does as well as her hair grows extremely quickly. He proceeded to take pictures and began saying that I shouldn't even take my dog outside with her conditions. Keep in mind this is a dog that's well fed. She has a good weight and she's a very playful dog. all this was because I declined to do the overpriced scam service that they had because there's no other way to describe this place but scam and they should really not be proud of the way they're delivering such a beautiful job for animals and families who own pets in such a scamming way, because they know that a lot of us love our pets like if they were our own children and we would do anything to save them or to keep them healthy and they take advantage of That to say he told me that my dog would die if I took her anywhere else, and that she would choke if they didn't put anesthesia while , grooming her
Tell me why I got a gut feeling to just go on Google and find my nearest groomer. I called the number and they groom my dog under two hours. She has no skin condition. She has no rotation in her private part she got her knots taken out, no anesthesia naturally no pain no barking, and they even gave me a discount for her good behavior Just goes to show that this place has been lying to me for years they've been very inconsiderate, and the new owners are even worse since they're scammers. please just take your dog somewhere else where they're honest and they're able to keep their clients. Clearly these people are trying their best to take money out of people since it might've been that they're not doing For the animals they're doing it for the money and what they could scam out of people. The front ladies are very nice and attentive. However, even when they change of owners, they accidentally put my dog under my mom's name just cause she happened to drop her off this was two years ago. When I asked her why was this happening? She said now I have to go to the state to change my dog back to me when I never told them to do any change.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Emily R.Hialeah, FL18111Feb 28, 2023
Max loves coming to Panda! He is always welcomed with a treat and treated as family. My family and I have been bringing our pets here and the doctors are educated and very helpful. The ladies at the front have excellent customer service and Blanca always leaves him looking his best after his grooming.

They lie about the prices !. Make sure to know how much will they charge before they make anything in your pet. I went for a heartburn vaccine and they gave me the price for 6 months plus other pills I bought. However one girl told me to give him the 1 year instead . I asked the price and she said is 100 I checked. I said ok and she told me she will bring a new invoice (she never did) and two nurses came make him a test I didn't even knew they were gonna do and then the doctor put him the vaccine . When I went to pay they told me the vaccine was 345. I am so mad they were not honest with the price . I can't afford some stuff I would put him the other vaccine instead if they were more honest with prices . I told them she said 100 and they didn't said anything I had to pay.

ZERO STARS ... Stay away from this clinic, they almost killed my cat. they prescribed a medication meant for a dog which caused her kidneys to fail. The treatment was more than a thousand dollars. In fact this veterinarian has been investigated by a few news outlets and reported by several customers and former employees. I wish I had done my research before going.
