Definitely better than the first film acting-wise. The plot was fine to me and the ending gave me chills. Could’ve been less anticlimactic in most fight scenes though. A very epic, soulless movie.

Pacific Rim Uprising is an absolute disgrace to the first film. So many continuity errors, random stuff written in, and dull acting. The plot is so predictable! Del Toros version was brilliant because of his directing style, and all of the monster scenes were at night. Neither of which is done in this one. The combat is dull and physics don’t apply. There is so much I could get into but don’t want to spoil the movie for people who want to have their own opinion. But, that's how you kill a franchise for sure. I wouldn't go as far as to call it good at all. Horrible story. Horrible sequel to the original masterpiece. Skip this one and treat the first like it’s the only one. Trust me.

Terrible absolutely terrible sequal and one of the very worst, Steven s deknight did a terrible job making this and fails on every level at reaching the brilliance of Guillermo del toro, the action is boring, loud, incomprehensible, incoherent, generic and tiresome there is no originality or new ideas whatsoever and all of the cast members cannot give any good performances to save this souless mess of a sequal, do yourself another favor and avoid this just like any other poorly made snorefest of an action movie sequal. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Grade F for Fail
