Came here on a weeknight on a whim and was happy they didn't need reservations (make sure you book on weekends and holidays). Seated immediately and ordered cocktails, lobster bisque, crab cake appetiser to start; ribeye steaks and a side of mac and cheese for...our main course. EVERYTHING was delicious! We were so surprised by how thick our steaks were - we couldn't finish our food as we're used to ribeye steaks being on the thinner side. Sadly, we didn't have room for dessert, but we will for sure come back. Service was quick and attentive, however the staff would have scored extra points if the servers had taken the time to check that we'd never been there before and made some recommendations based on their bestselling items on the menu. That's always a nice touch, especially when you're walking into a restaurant you've heard good things about but without too many specifics. If we lived here, this would be our go-to date night place!More

This is one of the most well-known steakhouses in Hong Kong. Wooloomooloo offers finely grilled meat in a lovely setting. The lunch set is a more budget-friendly option to sample the food. The crab cake is delicious. Borscht is creamy. Lamb chops is cooked to...perfection but portion can be a bit bigger. Pavlova is beautifully presented. The panorama of Hong Kong from the dining place is breathtaking.More

This steakhouse came recommended by a friend, said it's always solid. So grateful we ate here not only because the Aussie Waygu was spectacular and perfectly cooked, but also because the bar on the roof was an amazing backdrop for someone visiting Hong Kong. Reservations...are encouraged, but we came without one and waited on this rooftop bar until our table was ready - we lucked out and it wasn't long. All three of us ordered the Ribeye medium rare, with 3 different sauce/finishes, and all three of us were over the moon about our dinner.More

What an amazing venue. Perched high a top the city with views over the harbour. We had cocktails on the balcony watching the light show then went inside for dinner. The food was delicious and well presented. My partner had the steak rare and i...had the beef wellington which was cooked to perfection. Amazing wine list and we were surprised to find one of our all time Aussie favourites. Desert was tasty and well presented. I will return for more on my next visit.More

My husband picked Wooloomooloo as his preferred restaurant to go to on his first night after being stuck in quarantine for 21 nights, so I booked it 10 days in advance. We got there an hour early so we could go to the rooftop for...a few cocktails before dinner, only to be told that the rooftop has been closed for months ‘due to COVID’. So we opted to sit in the restaurant for our aperitifs instead; only to be told that the barman is offsick so no cocktails available! We left and went to a nearby bar for our cocktails and went back, sat down, were given the menus. We were told that several sizes of the steaks weren’t available and neither were there any onion rings! We ordered a bottle of wine, and -guess what- not available! The food we ordered was delicious, but halfway through eating, an hour before closing they told us it was last orders for dessert! I’ve never been to a restaurant where they need an hour’s notice! We had checked on the website, and there was no indication that the rooftop bar was closed, and I feel that the restaurant could have called us that day to let us know that the barman was sick and their menu was reduced and given us to option to find one of the numerous rooftop bars/restaurants that are operating normally. This restaurant is not cheap, and we were really looking forward to a romantic special dinner having been apart for such a long time. I won’t be going back in a hurry.More

This was my first time in this particular Branch of Wooloomooloo and it was magical. The 31st Floor setting affords fantastic views of the Harbour and the adjacent Wan Chai -Causeway Bay urban areas. The service was attentive and the Beef Wellington main and bottle...of Italian prosecco that I ordered were top notch. A fabulous evening with friends ensued.More

Overall a good set lunch experience - *except* felt very deceived hence the 2 star rating. We booked a ‘lunch promotion’ through HK Restaurant Week. As it turns out, this promotion is exactly the same menu but *more* expensive than the normal set lunch. I...never would have known until I asked to see their lunch menu (it was not offered to me as an option.) To the management: Please do not use a festival such as HK Restaurant Week to simply try and increase your revenue. It is deceitful and you have lost my trust. Additionally... fish portion in fish and chips was embarrassingly small. ie two pieces the size of your thumbs. Otherwise, lunch steak was good. Starter Caesar salad was small but tasty.More

We visited this place last Monday, which was our last night in Hong Kong. Ended up being our best dinning experience we can remember.....ever. This turns out to be one of a small chain of 5 restaurants in Hong Kong and Singapore. This imports Australian...beef but so much more than a steakhouse. Both service and food were exceptional. We visited the roof top bar after our meal and the views and atmosphere here was special. All I can say is if you’re looking for the best place to eat in Hong Kong then you should not overlook this place.More

A famous Australian based steakhouse in a romantic setting with great lighting and views. Food and service was excellent. My wife and I split the three dishes: fishcake, Cesar salad and a small Filet and it was a generous portion. All were exceptional and well...served. Wine by the glass was a bit expensive but they turned out to be great vintages and were generous portions. This special steakhouse is a favorite in Hong Kong, a place I have lived for 25 years,More

Had a special romantic dinner at this venue on our last night in Hong Kong. Recommended by our concierge and so glad we decided on this restaurant! As soon as we walked in I knew we would love it! Dark but well lit. Beautiful and...amazing view with a open air balcony on one side of restaurant. This was all before we even got seated! Service was excellent! Special touches from the manager when making suggestions on a bottle of wine. We each had perfectly cooked steaks and tasty sides. The manager ended with a fabulous port wine compliments of the staff. I would surely recommend this steakhouse restaurant for special occasions and great cuisine the next time in Hong Kong!More

I was a guest and we dined slightly late one Friday evening in the main restaurant. We both ordered steaks. I would have liked a slightly smaller steak. I was disappointed with how tough it was. I think it was more the way it had...been cooked rather than the quality of the meat. The staff were friendly and helpful but the restaurant seemed to lack some ambience. I've been to the rooftop before so if I was to come back again, that's where I'd dine rather than downstairs.More

Havent come to Wooloomooloo for quite long time. It was quite packed with ppl although under this pandemic situation in HK. It's good to have the bread when still warm. I ordered slow roasted new zealand lamb rack and my friends ordered the grilled australian...sirloin. They said the steak was good. I ordered my lamb well done. But i could see the blood when cutting it. It tasted good though. I was amazed that they served decaf coffee and the little cookie was good. For this price, i think its quite reasonble. Can go again next time.More

Visiting Hong Kong we met up with a friend who had relocated there earlier in the year. He recommended Wooloomooloo as a good place for night 1 of the trip. Finding the place is a bit tricky as you need to get an escalator and...then lift in a building you could easily walk past. The restaurant is very good with excellent steak courses and attentive staff. We both had fillet but I opted for the special topped with food gras and black truffles. It’s not cheap but you never expect it to be so. After food we headed up to the rooftop bar which was even better than the restaurant. The music and atmosphere was great and the views are literally AMAZING. Watching Hong Kong in its full glory on a balmy Friday night and then looking up at the stars- good times!!!!!More
