Yes! I am a huge fan of reggae music. The culture, the vibes, the crowd...nothing but positivity! If you're a fan of the music and the scene, One Love Cali Reggae Music Festival is for you!
I have attended this festival for 4 straight years. It was once a one-day event, which eventually grew into 2 days and now 3 days! In have seen many acts here from Iration to Rebelution to Collie Buddz to SOJA to Tribal Seeds and so many more! Held outside the Queen Mary Park, this festival has 2 big stages. They also do have many food vendors and drink vendors. Beware as the lines will get full quickly. They also do have kiosks where you can purchase merchandise. For myself, nothing beats a nice cold beer while watching some of my favorite bands perform on stage for the fans!
The many times I have came, I have had nothing but amazing memories. I truly hope this festival doesn't meet the same fate as many other festivals have. I love that it is located right in Long Beach! What more could I want?Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Feb 10, 2020
I attended this festival as a one day only participant, Friday (2/7/2020), and the band lineup was #LIT.
Pro tip, park off site and assume you will take the free buss from the Pike parking structure into the concert venue. The buss process is fast and easy as they have several busses cycling between the parking areas and the concert grounds. At the end of the concert I chose to walk back to my car, and it took about 45 minutes to get to my car which was 1.3 miles away. No chance I was going to attempt the crush of people at the end of the night. The skyline is beautiful at night, enjoy the walk.
The grounds are fairly expansive, I saw acts at all 3 stages. The crowd was chill, good souls who were out to have fun. Make sure you walk around and take in all the concessions, food and merchandise. My daughter jumped into the food lines too quickly, she enjoyed her acai bowl, but had regrets later when we found additional food options that included, lobster mac and cheese.
Unfortunately lines take FOREVER!! Another negative is the bathroom set-up, took me 40 minutes to use the bathroom, which was disgusting. To make matters worse, the poor girls ahead of me had no toilet paper.
I attended Friday for two main acts; Sublime and Dirty Heads, and they both delivered. They do a nice job of bringing together first rate bands. It probably goes without saying but you are going to be engulfed by billowing clouds of pot smoke, take this into consideration if you're bringing a minor, or someone opposed to smoke.
Unfortunately, the general concert setup (concessions, bathrooms, and layout) seemed a little un-organized and chaotic, which was surprising considering this event has happened for a few years now. Lots of room for improvement in my opinion.
I'm glad I went, the general admission was $130 (with fees) via the web site. The VIP perks did not appear to be worth the price difference. I hope they make improvements, generally speaking I had a good time but the venue shortcomings were disappointing. Good thing all the musical acts lived up to the promise.Helpful 22Thanks 0Love this 22Oh no 0 - Mar 22, 2017
I love Reggae and when I saw there would be a festival close to home I was all in!
This is similar to Cali Roots in Monterey but soooo much smaller with only two stages. I purchased the 3 day passes and we weren't gonna let the rain ruin our good vibes. Besides I was prepared with ponchos!
Here are some things to expect:
*super long lines when entering, going through security, getting food/drinks, etc.
*expensive food, drinks, etc.
*crowds of people (some pushy and rude, others irie and chill)
*clouds of smoke (wink wink)
Some artists we saw were Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid, 311, Protege, Chronixx, Stick Figure, Soja, Iration, The Dirty Heads, Steal Pulse, and a few more!
I loved that they offered tons of free shuttles to and from the parking structure at the convention center.
All in all it was a great event with some of my favorite artists!Helpful 34Thanks 0Love this 31Oh no 0 - Markus T.Venice, CA167337Aug 21, 2021
Not like the old school. I saw glitter on peoples faces and I was done. I was good when they had only one stage and legit people.

Was here for 3rd day of "One Love" Cali Reggae Festival, paid $99 per person for General Admission (GA), this festival was a 3 day event, and there were options to purchase single/ 2- day/ & 3-day passes, also offered VIP section that were double the price of GA and of course the Cabana area with table service but least expensive for 4 people $1500 and higher. The one thing I felt was so disgusting for the GA area was the porta-pots were Dirty! Dirty! Stinky! Disgusting! Opened the door, it was dark, looked and Us girls could not sit bcuz literally $*** & piss everywhere & including the floor of the porta-pot, plus ran out of tissue, just had to hold it, I feel for $99 admission we deserve much better. And y did the VIP section have the really nice full bathrooms, we should all have the same. Only 2 ways to get into festival area right next to Queen Mary ship, no private vehicles allowed over the bridge, so 2 shuttles from Pike & Convention parking garages- shuttles were organized and smooth one right after the other both in-n-out. Definitely read what Ur not allowed to bring prior- security was strict, they took away my pen, and zip lock of almonds, my cousin had a open 3/4 pack of cigarettes that they made him trash but his wife was able to bring in unopened pack, also saw other people forced to rid their hydro flask, umbrellas, travel size Victoria secret sprays, of course water/ juice bottles, etc..
Today's show case line up was the best we thought between the 3 days- jammed to Anuhea, Common Kings,
J-Boog, & Iration- great performances, sounded awesome, so crowded was way in the back watching from huge monitors on side of stage, people were all love & highly friendly, the performers really vocalized importance of being one love & peace all around.
There were multiple food, alcohol, merchandise booths all around the festival, as expected prices were expensive, Very large grounds had 3 main stages, didn't get to hit all, was pretty crowded- was surprised bcuz today was pouring rain. Hardcore reggae fans.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 17, 2018
Had the best time, of course its a reggae fest. Good vibes and good music. Food n alcohol taste alright and is really expensive. Of course smokers :) too bad i quit but sure smells good, lol. And porta-potties yuk.... my husband said they were nasty, and the lines were very very long. I've never been in one and dont ever plan to so i offered to be the designated driver just so i dont have to use the restroom. haha would return.

Went to this concert just last weekend and was pretty dissapointed with the event.
First of all we paid about 260$ each for GA tickets in anticipation of the amazing reggae lineup. Unfortunatly the lineup was the only real redeeming quality of the event. The main stage blocked off wayyy too much room for VIP. At a normal event. VIP should definitely get the middle front or the sides, but there was literally a fence blocking off GA people completely from about a third of the floor. Thats insane. Nobody should by 260 tickets and completely be denied to be anywhere near the front.
Second, the festival decor was completely uninspored. The crowd is full of stoners wanting to be stimulated by surroundings! How can a festival this expensive be soo lazy with decor. There were barely any decorations and almost nothing to interact with when taking a break from the performances. The food vendors were great. But super expansive. Its unfortunate that such a great lineup is wasted at this venue.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anna P.Walnut, CA5758104Feb 11, 2019
Went to our first One Love this past weekend. We got 2 day VIP because the lineup was so amazing we thought we'd splurge the $250 per ticket to make the experience a little better. Already anticipated bad weather so the muddy grounds weren't surprising. On the website they advertise VIP to make it sound so luxurious they even showed a picture of an area with canopy coverage which is another reason why we didn't stress about the weather too much. They also advertised charging stations and special bathrooms which was literally a joke but I'll get back to that later.
We get there and entered through the "VIP entrance" which honestly took longer to get through versus going through General admission entrance so strike one there. Walked around the grounds a little bit, ate some of their expensive food (which was also already anticipated because... Well festival) and finally found our way to the "VIP Area" walk in and was immediately not impressed. Browsed around to see what exactly this VIP experience offered and after two days I've concluded that spending that extra money was not worth it. The covered area is only for people that purchase bottle service tables which the cheapest is $1400 per day. There were no signs so my husband went up to ask one of the asshole security guards blocking the entrance to the canopy area and he looked at my husband like he was asking and doing something so inconvenient to his job which is to do exactly that... Stand there and answer questions. So no you are not allowed to be covered from the rain in VIP unless you pay $1400 for one bottle of alcohol.
The "charging station "looked like it was built last minute out of extra wood from my dad's backyard. Everyone was hovering over it like a bunch of hungry antelopes searching for water so good thing we brought our own charging packs. Their special VIP bathrooms were a joke. Walked in once checked in all the stalls and they were all flooded with poop, everyone was saying the portable toilets were cleaner than this. After a couple of hours of standing in a crowd we went to look for somewhere to sit and guess what... VIP didn't have that LOL. Then randomly 4 tables appeared out of nowhere because they finally realized maybe having somewhere to sit for people that pay a lot of money to come see this concert would be a good idea. They did however have a bar there specifically only for VIP so they didn't lie about that LOL
They were offering on site upgrades to VIP which I'm guessing a lot of people wanted to do because it was so jampacked it doesn't seem like they put any cap on how many people they let into VIP. Whatever makes the most money right? It was Honestly just as crowded as being in general admission. On the last day we left the main stage a little early and there was only about three hours left of the festival and they were still sitting there in their little "VIP upgrade booth" trying to rob people of their money.
Nonetheless like I said earlier, the lineup was amazing so we made the best of it and still had a great time rain, freezing cold, non-VIP experience and all.
Save yourself the money next year and do general admission unless you're ready to throw down 5 stacks for a table and bottle service then can I come with you? LolHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Paige L.Papaikou, HI25227Feb 11, 2019
First time at the One Love Fest. Flew in from Hawai'i for the show....shuttle was awesome. Parking was surprisingly easy. I enjoyed the vibe and the line up was incredible.
Thought it was lame that there were not any screens to show the musicians. Very hard to see if you were not right in front.... that was weak.
Also there was no real seating to chill. Just tables for food ...having 10 hour long festivals with no seating and not allowing people to bring in blankets does not make much sense.
People in SoCal def weren't as cool nor as chill as the NorCal crew at Cali Roots. But still a great time and good vibes...even despite the rain on day 3!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Alyssa G.Belmont, MA0104Feb 29, 2020
My girlfriend and I had a great weekend (2020) at this festival. We bought VIP tickets since she was coming in from out of town and we wanted to go all in for this. Security was friendly going in the event and once we got in they were roaming around, but not disruptive. Police officers were there as well just walking around making sure everyone was safe. We heard mixed reviews going into this, but it was awesome! We loved the roots and culture stage the best, awesome views and much more room. We loved everyone we saw, obviously! It was an amazing weekend, get tickets as soon as they go on sale. This is one you don't want to miss
