Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital? Are any of your favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama this week or in the not-too-far-off future?

The Week Of February 5

Two major characters have gone out with a bang. Actually, make that a splash, as they both met their “demise” after plunging into the Seine River. Avery Kristen Pohl has officially wrapped up her run as the evil Esme Price.

The actress made her debut on the soap in 2021 as the daughter of Port Charles’s most famed serial killer, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). We later learned her mother was none other than Heather Webber (Alley Mills), another PC villain

Meanwhile, Nicholas Alexander Chavez is temporarily out as Spencer Cassadine. The actor is on hiatus from GH to film his role as Lyle Menendez in the Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. Chavez is set to return to the soap once the project wraps. In the meantime, Spencer is presumed dead after he took the same plunge into the Seine as Esme.

Joshua Benard has also completed his run as troubled college student Adam Wright. Benard, the real-life son of Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny, began the recurring role in 2021. The door, however, remains open for his possible return at a later date.

William Lipton makes a brief return as Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) son, Cameron Webber, this week. The character, who was written off to attend Stanford University in 2023, is back in town to attend Spencer’s funeral.

The Friday, February 2, 2024 episode of GH saw the return of Jagger Cates to Port Charles. The character, created by Antonio Sabato, Jr., back in 1992 is now being played by Adam Harrington.

ESPN star Stephen A. Smith pops back in as Brick on Tuesday, February 6. He’ll share scenes with Maurice Benard’s Sonny, his longtime employer and mob boss. He also is slated to air on Friday, February 10.
