Went to the Blind Burro for lunch. The food was so good that the only regret was that we couldn’t finish everything! Split the seared ahi tuna tacos and catch of the day tacos (grilled swordfish belly...yum!). Fantastic and fresh. Spices were spot on with...a spicy zing that was the perfect slow burn. The street corn side dish was a pleasant surprise, being off the cob and packing a ton of flavor! Sat at the bar and our bartender was friendly and helpful. Great spot!More

Just loved the Tacos, service and drinks and will definitely be back. I ate their twice in 5 days. Only issue I had was the shrimp/avo listed on special for $19 with one side when the bill came they charged $21. When querying this they...said the corn side was extra which wasn’t listed in the promotional terms. Great food and service just don’t lie about the special offerMore

The Blind Burro in San Diego is a great place to go for quality food and much more. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything...that you need to have the best meal.More

One dish we ordered was nice and fresh tasting; the other was so-so (a bit tired, boring Mexican food). Guac was great; chips were greasy. Restaurant should increase its prices rather than demanding for a 4% surcharge due to inflation -- tacking this on is...just deceptive. Tip suggestions are pushy. Location is convenient to convention center.More

The atmosphere was good as we were there before a Padres game. Staff was friendly. The food was ok. My tacos were ok. The chicken within the taco lacked flavor and was a bit dry. The corn on the cob side was extremely good. We...want the recipe. Overall very good experience.More

Menu is not very diverse although the variations to the usual Mexican fare is excellent. The cocktail selection is good. The ceviche was superb. The Mexican pizza, Sonoran Queso Crisp, was very tasty. The Macha angus skirt steak was made to perfection, Correct temperature all...throughout!! The angus tacos were ok. The Churros is a MUST!!! DELICIOUS!!!! Our server was excellent. She didn’t rush us at all. Very sweet and efficient.More

People at our table ordered several different kinds of tacos and liked them except for the salmon tacos. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fabulous. A little kick to them and a chorus of different flavors. Truly unique and delicious. The churros for...dessert were divine. You get 5 mini churros and some sauce. They were served hot and cooked perfectly. Service was great. We were outside and a big group and thought maybe they would neglect us but they were great. Awesome mealMore

I like the tacos and they are a bit unique from the norm and very large for a street taco vibe. You get 2 on the plate, but easily these are as much food as 3-4 elsewhere. Margarita was nice and strong. Thought the cost...was quite high just the same ($100 for two - $40 booze and the rest 2 plates), but we were in a tourist area and the place was a fun spot.More

I was eager to try the Blind Burro after visiting so many other Gaslamp restaurants and passing by this one. It's an excellent location and features mostly inside seating with some bar seating along the sidewalk. The service was quick and good especially for a...busy lunch crowd. The food was fairly average for a Mexican restaurant. It was good and fresh, but did not entice me to come back and try other dishes. The tacos were a bit bland, but the chips and salsa were fresh. Good guacamole, as well.More

Many times I am wandering around downtown and I veered away from the Gaslamp area and found this place. With bars back open and being vaccinated I felt comfortable to sit inside at the bar. I've become quite a fan of the Stone Buenaveza draft....I didn't order food but it was a pleasant place and probably very popular when the Padres play. There is a 4% Pandemic Recovery surcharge added to the bill.More

Although there are numerous places around Petco Park for the pre game meal, highly recommend you head over to the Blind Burro for Baja style tacos and cold beers. Tacos are seriously good and no one will ever complain that there isn’t enough filling in...these great tacos. If in doubt, go with your server’s recommendation - the short rib was outstanding. Service is also fast and friendly, couldn’t have asked for better.More

This was a good Mexican restaurant and bar. We started with the guacamole and chips appetizer. The guacamole was very good, chips were ok. I’d say the chips and no salsa with the chips are the main reason I’m giving a 4 out of 5....I’ve had way better chips from plenty of restaurants. Our main course was the tacos. We got chicken which were good and the the macha angus short ribs which were amazing. If I went back I’d get those and skip the chips. The waitress was very good and she did recommend the nachos which we didn’t get so maybe I’d try those.More

Great food, terrific staff. All around a super choice for dinner. I had the Carne Asada tacos and Spouse had the Poblano Chicken Enchiladas. The food was tasty, fresh and a good value.

Our kids wanted Mexican for dinner & this place came up on the list. We decided to make a reservation for that night (since it was pretty busy in town). We walked over from our hotel & were hesitant when we got there. It was...a pretty big, open space restaurant with almost no one in it at 630pm. Kids really wanted Mexican & we were there, so decided to go in. Glad we did! The food was delicious. Te waitstaff were very nice. We ordered the guacamole & the salsa sampler - too much for the 4 of us. Our main courses were very flavorful. Not sure why it wasn’t busier.More

This was our first dinner in San Diego after a long day of travel from the East Coast. It was walkable from our hotel and the Gaslamp Quarter was abuzz. We sat outside, as it was crowded and noisy inside. I don't think you will...be disappointed with the Blind Burro!More
