Baron Cohen and Fisher were wearing his-and-hers style outfits in the form of jeans, a casual top and a hat.

Confessions of a Shopaholic actress Fisher had tied her hair loosely into a plait and had a face free of make-up as she strolled the streets of New York's Soho with her daughter.

Ali G star Baron Cohen has recently been filming his new movie The Dictator, which has seen him sporting a series of bizarre outfits.

In the movie, the comedian plays a Hussein-like dictator who is secretly replaced by a lookalike goat herder and must rebuild his life in New York City, playing both roles in the film.

The Dictator shares more than a few similarities with classic Charlie Chaplin 1940 movie The Great Dictator, which was a biting satire on Nazi Germany.

Baron Cohen secretly married Australian-born Fisher in Paris last year and the pair have two daughters, Olive and one-year-old Elula.
