OkCupid, a free service but comes at a cost? E-Whoring. It does not sound like a nice name and in the dating world it isn't. Put simply, e-whoring is when a man pretends to be a woman on the internet. Start talking to a 'woman' who has set up one of these profiles and at best you are wasting your time. At worst, she will scam you out of your money or personal details. OkCupid has lots of these types of profiles, probably created by guys mostly just to chat with bi-women or lesbians. Then there's the profiles 'couple looking for a female to join us; no Guys!' In most cases this is a guy.. alone.

Also, If you look at the OkCupid's Terms & Conditions, under "Unique and bona fide profile", you can read: "From time to time, we may create test profiles in order to monitor the operation of our services". So, they admit to write FAKE PROFILES - they just don't tell you how many they will write, to "monitor the operation" of their services!

Bottom line for ladies, don't give your email or number out after the first couple of messages from a 'cutie' asking for it; the hot girl you just met may just be a guy!  Guys, take a look in the mirror, then look at her profile, then back in the mirror.  Do you really think that luscious 18 year old girl REALLY is her in the profile and has the hots for you?  Of course you do!
